Outside of the music, every good/okayish idea is marred by bad writing, poor planning, or poor programming.

How does Chaos Control suddenly mean that they can time travel? Hey...how about using the Time Stones for Chaos Control instead? Did you forget about those? It'd make sense that they'd be able to freely float through time, taking care of any weird paradoxes, and why having one wouldn't ruin the story of the other games.

Shadow's story is the only one that really matters. Sonic's is about saving the princess, and has the underlying theme of Sonic being too slow to get anything done. Besides that, he's boring as fuck here, and Silver kicks his shit in twice, and never gets his comeuppance. Silver's has no point either, because we've got no idea how or why Mephiles can't just fuse with Iblis whenever the fuck he wants, and he can just kill Sonic at any fucking time.

The story with Elise would be okay....if not for the fact that they seriously decided with a fucking love angle. Look, unless it's gonna be something like Gargoyles, then don't fucking do it.

The Gem system is so broken, you may as well just take it out of the fucking game.
Up and down the block, this game is a mess, even if you did take out the bugs, because all of the stage are poorly designed, and there are TOO MANY FUCKING CHARACTERS, and most of them are just there for the sake of being there. Why is Knuckles in the game? He's in like two cutscenes and never does anything important? Amy is playable for like...twice, and one of those is a mission, and the others a horrible shitty stage.

Well, I'd mainly view SatAM and his Archie equivalent Warlord Julian (or the 'original' Dr. Robotnik) as probably the most 'evil.' a backstabbing, manipulative genius who in SatAM we just know organized a coup and enslaved a species, but the comic version gets even more context.

He got kicked out by the humans/overlanders (humans with four fingers), schmoozed his way into a position of power in the Acorn Kingdom helping them WIN a war against his own people, then staged a coup using the robotisizor sonic's uncle had made to enslave most of the former kingdom's population. Ruled with an iron fist where he could while supporting 'under-bosses' who savaged other regions in his name as best they could.

All around very evil and his 'endgame' was a device literally designed to wipe its targets out of existence entirely (the ultimate annihilator if I remember right). He did something very similar to what his successor, archie comic's second 'eggman' did in the above comic page by exiling several of his robotisized enemies to the 'zone of silence' without orders to spend an eternity trapped within nearly immortal bodies motionless awaiting his command....many of these like the 'original' freedom fighters NEVER came up again.

so in summation. I'm going with SatAM/Warlord Julian as ultimately playing everyone else against eachother to his own advantage because while all the others have comparable or superior intelligence, HE was also a master manipulator, could act, lie, and play politics while having a truly irredeemable personality.

I personally can't help but feel 06 had the potential to be the best game of the franchise if they had simply waited a year or two and didn't make a shitty story.

Personally I love the idea of Sonic, Shadow and Silver all being the main characters with their own stories and I also felt that Silver had the potential to be an incredibly cool and well written character but of course they botched it. All of the abilities and power ups all sound incredibly cool as well.

Overall I believe 06 had the potential to be the best game in the franchise but they botched it horribly. Personally I think it would be hilarious if they announced a Sonic 06 remake that turned out to be a pretty good game with a 10/10 plot.

The post you replied too wasn't talking about him though. Archie Eggman was the alternate universe guy who replaced the "original" Robotnik. He genocided his own universe and decided to conquer the "prime one" just because, genociding Penders's echidnas too.

He was made a little bit closer to the game version after the reboots that happened due to Pendering.

Depends on time in the comic. When he first appeared, he was a multiversal conqueror who either turned everyone into robots, or outright destroyed planets.

Later on, he mellowed out and got a plan closer to the "Original Robotnik": conquering the world via building a genuine empire. Instead of turning furries and people into robots he made them cyborgs with bombs installed in their cybernetics, plus the robot army was still with him.

But there's too many things to count, like turning his own family into robots and then destroying them, enslaving Sonic's relatives, killing whole echidna cities: the writers before Ian Flynn were real edgelords when it came to Eggman. Well, he was never as good in the comic as he was in the cartoon. They tried too much to scramble him together with Clasic Eggman and AOSTH Robotnik, which just doesn't work for SATAM Robotnik.

Prototype Eggman would be the only hero among villains. Things would get awkward, FAST. He would try to dwart this evil gathering of himself, but will always fall to sleep before he could begin a course of action.

Classic Eggman would be a bit of an enigma. He can be silly, but sometimes formidable, and pragmatic. He would actually get along with most of them for some bizarre reason.

AoStH Robotnik would be the most bombastic in the room. He would be overjoyed that he is finally is in the presence of extraordinary and beautiful evil geniuses... himself (Except for Prototype Eggman, who is the only “good seed” of the group. Disgusting). Most of the Robotniks would find him too bumbling.

SaTAM Robotnik would have a bit of a stick in his ass and see himself as superior to most of the others. He would brag about being the only one that conquered the world (but never mentioning how he fell from power, too damn humiliating). He would get along with Adventure Eggman the most. Find Classic and AoStH Robotniks too silly –finding the latter incompetent. Have a so-so relationship with 06 Eggman. Always butt heads with Modern Eggman. Find Boom Eggman a joke. And wonder why the prototype Eggman is even here.

Adventure Eggman would be the most serious one in the room, very conniving and down to business, but would be very loud and obnoxious. He would get along with Julian and relate to Classic, Modern, and 06 Eggmen. He would get annoyed with AoStH Robotnik Belittle Boom Eggman. And tell Prototype Eggman to get out.

06 Eggman would be the most mature and gentleman acting (When I say acting, I mean he does have moments to the contrary and acts no better than the rest of them.) He would see the rest as weird-looking – too cartoony, while they would think he looks odd proportionally, Boom Eggman would try to avoid him because of it (“I'm sorry, I can't spend another minute looking at this guy.”)

Modern Eggman would be a mixed bag with everyone. AoStH and Boom Eggmen would be impressed by his long gallery of schemes and his long history with dealing with that pesky blue hedgehog, while someone like Julian would find him lackluster. He would be telling Classic, Adventure, and 06 about what is to come and what NOT to do when they run into Sonic in the future he's already been through. He would also see himself as the main/leader guy in the room, which could start some conflict.

Boom Eggman would feel the most left out. Most of the other Robotniks have schemes at a much bigger and vicious scale than him. Much of his plans consists of destroying a village and ruining Sonic's day. So he'd probably be the butt of jokes to most of the others while trying to look “cool” to the rest of them. Although everyone would admit he is the most stylish and he CAN bring the snark more than they ever could and really aim at their flaws if pushed far enough.

But while they may have their differences, and with the exceptions of Prototype and Boom, they all can agree and get along on one thing: They hate that motherfucker Sonic and want that rat bastard dead. I mean, holy shit! Life would be a lot easier if he wasn't around foiling their plans!

Yeah, come to think of it, Boom Eggman looks good because of his design (originally made for the more serious "Sonic Synergy" project), but his plans are mostly about being an annoying neighbor. He'd just get no respect.
