Everybody has a spontaneous sounding, realistic, Mexican intoned voice. Except the main character. Who has this neutral, slow, bland, accent-less voice typical of dubs for multiple countries. He stands out really bad.
It reminds me why I had to watch Las Leyendas in English.

Gave me flashbacks to Grim Fandango, which is always a good thing. As much as I love the aestethic, it looks pretty bland. I don't really know anything about Mexican mythology, but I'd figure a boys journey into the land of the dead would be at least a little...spooky? It all looks very safe and wholesome, to be honest.
