So I'm trying to keep myself from drawing in a 2d mindset and trying to make my drawing postures more expressive on their own, drawing the actual sides of bodies not at some 90 degree interval. I've been drawing too much from an awkward always-facing-front-conveying-motion-with-face -- The Sonichu trap.

No memeing, how practical is Loomis? I only see those grotesque little comic strip heads as results from it, but I've never actually looked into it. I did maybe the first 40 pages of Right Side of the Brain last year and it just felt like some good technique tips sprinkled into self-motivating pseudoscience.

I feel I don't know what level of discipline I want to hold myself to. I try to hold myself to a level of decent construction and it gets shit on driving me to continually try harder even though I have animation contemporaries who seem to care much less about it and seem much more successful than I am. I'm an idea guy™ so I shouldn't care as much, but my ideas are fairly demanding so I feel the need to try more.
