That's pretty much it so far (AKA that's where I stopped caring).

Cosmic Cube took the form of a sentient little girl, Red Skull told her Hydra were awesome, she fixed Cap of his old age and also rewrote his reality. Lots of backstory about Steve growing up Hydra. Cap gets control of SHIELD, declarers state of emergency, US is now under Hydra control.

I'm actually enjoying it.

Dunno about "let", Captain Hydra went in with the assumption that Ulysses' prediction would come true and he would die at Miles' hands, but he didn't know the exact circumstances. He probably thought the fight would be an actual throwdown, not him inadvertently killing BW, and then getting subsequently caught like a deer in the headlights by a super pissed Miles and have his shield broken in one punch.

To be fair I think this event overextended its reach to way too many books. There is only so much Spencer can dictate to editorial before they start making decisions on their own. If there was a way to make Secret Empire more finite and manageable then I could see Spencer delegating less and having a more hands approach for his narrative.

Most of what I brought up was from crossovers and older events. Trying to change an already grim outlook for a Marvel citizen is almost impossible especially since its been cemented that they are retards. So Nick "Trump will kill us all" Spencer addresses the reader and not the Marvel citizens themselves. So it kind of lacks the punch when a X-men character dies off screen to a angry mob of normal civilians. Or when Falcon calls a redneck a fascist for voicing his opinion within a diner.

Inhumans being tortured and dissected in interment camps. The segregated Mutant city is experiencing more racism toward normal humans than the Mutants themselves. Irredeemable actions of confused heroes who know they're at fault for what happened. It sounds good on paper, just horribly executed.

Again I consider Nick Spencer to be a writer who considers writing itself to be Paint by Numbers. He has an overall idea and can slowly build and weave an interesting set up. Take a look at his Ultimate X-men run with the idea of arcs being told out of order as to intersect later on in the series. But when it comes down to executing his grand scheme he stumbles and ham fists as much shit as he can through self insert mouthpieces. Its a shame really, I was actually looking forward to seeing a 2 year build up change something within the Marvel Universe. Then again I was being stupid thinking anything will actually change.

Steve himself isn't an allegory for Trump. It's Steve's/Hydra's current reign as ruler of government that is an allegory for the Trump administration. There's absolutely no subtlety to it.

He appointed someone who isn't a moron but is nonetheless a very reflexive right wing Republican judge to the Supreme Court. He didn't appoint him the way he does MUCH of what he does as far as labor (who is hired, who is kept) in respects to loyalty or the types of people he admires.

It was partially to appease a base and to play Republican Party politics and to keep a promise he made at a time when he was trying to wrap up the nomination. Even people like Jeff Flake (sp? - the Az senator) who didn't support him at all any time during the run up to the convention OR afterwards, said they would 'support' him when he does stuff like this.

Likewise, the net neutrality, climate change, deregulation, etc. is all similar and stuff he can do without congress.
