One of the best things about Spiderman comics (before they went to shit) is that they blended realistic characters with more fantastical elements. I don't think they should reboot everything, but they should take a step back from making Peter Ironman-lite. Every element of the comic is so unrealistic at this point that it's really difficult for me to connect as a reader. Peters struggles are all just too "out there" and comic book-y.

Ideally, I would like for them to dial it back a bit and make him more normal. Downplay how super smart and special he is and give us a love interest that has their own life outside of Spiderman which doesn't revolve around him.

Give him a few realistic problems to deal with and give him a relationship with someone with their own flaws and beliefs. So often it seems like the love interest is pushed as "she's perfect for him!". Real life doesn't work like that. Even MJ was sometimes portrayed as too perfect.

Who wants to read a book about a super handsome, smart, athletic, funny billionaire? There's already a surplus of that.

Sable had a huge role in "Ends of the Earth" and she pretty much was the reason Peter pulled off a win and she was also pretty big in the laster goblin arc. But they've been running into and with each other for a while since before most modern day readers were even born.

But yeah I get where you're coming from though, Sable hasn't been around as much as Felicia probably has something to do with Sable running a country though. We got told awhile ago that Pete would end up in a love triangle in this current run, as predicted it's him, Mockingbird and Sable, so we should be seeing even more of her in the near future.

This is false. One of the plot points for her character in the 2000's was her realization that it was Peter she had feelings for, not Spider-Man, and she regretted never giving the man behind the mask the chance he rightfully deserved.

She spent a few years shifting her obsession from the Spider-Man identity to just flat out wanting the man and deciding she'd swoop in if MJ ever fucked it up.

They have flings and short relationships with other people sure, but aside from Talia there isn't really any other consistant love interests for Bruce unless you're a filthy, disgusting, shitty, sub-human piece of trinity shipping garbage.
Batman and Catwoman have better chemistry because DC gives us a ton of exposure to them in steady increments. It's rare to go any longer than 2 years without seeing some kind of heavy Bruce x Selina something or other in some form of official media.

Half of the reason Sable had such a big role in the book is that her part was originally going to be played by Black Cat, but Cat was in some other arc at the time or someone at editorial didn't want "Felicia dies" to be a plot point, so they subbed in Sable to play the female support/love interest that dies.
