How would a cartoon of SCP work?
>>
>>94399792
If it's allowed to have mature subjects and blood, it could easily work. You could even base the show on a single SCP like scp 3008
>>
Depends, would we get an episode based on this?
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-666-j
>>
>>94399792
I was thinking a sort of dark humor comedy.
>>
>>94399898
>base the entire show on a single skip
Nigga what? Surely you mean base each episode around a specific one, yeah? Cause given the format, you gotta go episodic, or else there's no reason to do it in the first place.

>>94400140
This though. Really the only way to do it.
>>
>>94400140

Backing it.
>>
>>94399792
Twilight zone esque. Should have one episode based on the misadventures and misfortunes of each scp.

for specials and season finales containment breaches could occur with multiple scps that we already know as well as a couple ones we haven't seen are on the loose and a team of people have to come up with a plan to stop it.

That is, of course, only if the creators are adventurous and logical enough to do something like that. Let's be honest, that probably won't happen, but the first point of having one scp for every 1 or 2 episode is feasible.

and you would just end up with another Rick and Morty. Since it's going to be about one object per episode, or maybe two episodes for the more complicated ones, some episodes can be a bit silly, but the overall tone must be kept serious.
>>
>>94399792
>It's a Men in Black meets Rick and Morty sty-
>you say the source material is on a wiki?
>...yes?
>Pass. No way are we going to secure the rights to all of it without a fight. There's better things for us to be spending money on. Come back if you ever have anything worth pitching.
>>
>>94402391
true, but it doesn't mean we can't have fun pretending

What or who would the show focus on?
It would be kinda cool to see it from the perspective of D-Class personal.
Every episode starts with a new person being hoisted out of prison (or the occasional civilian) waking up in a cell and being escorted out by heavily armed guardsmen
and placed in the containment area of monster of the week, or underwater base, building, or coffeemaker. and it just them trying to survive. A form of mystery horror with some elements of nihilist humor.

Or the show could be like Scrubs where we follow a cast of researchers going about their daily routine of dealing with Aliens leviathans & monsters of every variate, and induct interviews.
Something akin to Cabin in the woods but if you try to place bets on monster fights you'll get demoted to D-Class personal.

It could also focus on the clean up crew (the strike teams, field agents, etc) who have to infiltrate a compound where that has been a containment breech or they have to go contain an artifact.

Every episode ends with lights out lights on neck snapping

It wouldn't be another Rick and Morty because that show's humor is nihilistic nothing matters I'm so smart i hate everything lick my balls Morty shit. You can have wacky sci-fi shenanigans without that.

Of all things we'd end up with something along the lines of Portal or Hot Fuzz, with huge horrifying incidents being handled like its just another Tuesday. Add in some 80s cartoon style absurd scriptwriting and you've basically made a Twilight Zone fever dream.

Like one episode could be like how >>94399931 wanted. A group of scientists focus on trying to get 666-j to kill 682, there could be a montage of all the ways they try to make a vehicle, they find the most backwards ass solution, turns out 682 is still indestructible and they've made a universal paradox. But everyone still plays it straight faced even as the world is slowly sucked into oblivion wondering which SCP could remedy the situation.

Watch men in black. It would work like that. Only with supernatural oddities instead of aliens.

Similar style to the Men in Black cartoon
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-CCeiMIQhc

Have it be episodic and hosted by a higher up in the organization like tales from the crypt or freaky stories.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogVgj1pevD0

Except sometimes this guy gets involved in the tale. They could even be told from the perspective of him writing the incident report and logging the SCP.
>This is a story that happened to a [REDACTED] of a [REDACTED] of mine
>>
>>94399792

>Implying the people who come up scps write actual stories
>Implying they wouldn't do the equivalent of the struck out text they love so much when they write themselves into corners or just from plain laziness.
>>
>>94399792
>Focus exclusively on random prisoners interacting with SCPs
>Avoid using any wiki-made professors, since they're perpetually caught up in fan wank tripe
>Multiple episodes dedicated to logs of particular SCPs
>Try an A/B plot where the episode switches between the POV of inmates working with a scary-ass SCP v. one of the light-hearted ones
>>
>>94399792
Super Jail but it's an SCP facility instead of a prison.

It'd be a futa hentai OVA that abruptly transitions into SCP containment

If I could elaborate, what I always liked about SCP is that while it boasts itself as being this sacred order dedicated to protecting the earth from things it does not understand, it's also an organization of Jackass scientists who are constantly dicking around with they don't understand, trying to make doomsday devices and such. I like the idea of Warden-like scientist running the facility with Reckless abandon while a meek assistant is actually trying to keep things in order. Every episode some SCP gets out and the scientist tries to use some other SCP to catch it.
>>
i wouldn't want a cartoon out of it, i'd much rather have a live action tv series. no offense to cartoon fans, i love cartoons, but scp would probably lose its "scary" aspect if it was animated. i mean, horror cartoon sure, but to truly get that chills-inducing shit it'd have to be live action for me

but that's just me. i'd be curious to see everyone else's take on how it'd work as an animated series.
>>
>>94404708
Scp ain't all that scary.
>>
>>94404639
I like the sound of the warden and assistant dynamic.
>>
>>94402380
>dark comedy
Less Rick and Morty and more "Venture Bros", or did you forget that show exists?
>>
>>94404751
it's scary enough for me, or was back in the day. i'm not sure about now. but it does have some great lil sci fi lore made up for it that's for sure.
>>
>>94404967
Pretty much any episode of Venture Bros that features a malfunctioning lab and the horrors within.
>>
>>94404533
Oh my GOD that would work-
The plot idea, not your shit taste.

An SCP is found by kids and then half the episode is just kids having a cute adventure with the classic hint of child innocence messing with thugs they don't understand- like the 80s themed movies did a lot of.

Then suddenly you have the SCP containment crew kicking down doors and holding parents hostage and it goes from 0 to REAL by 500,000%.

Part 1: Disney Oringinal Movie
Part 2:"Quentin Tarantino Presents: SCP Foundation"

Sauce?
>>
>>94399792
Idea:
>Really big bad so is released
>Everyone is fucked
>One co worker dawns as much safe and keter shit as he can get ahold of.
>Fights off big bad as long as possible
>Waste of effort

Someone finish/revise
>>
>>94404533
Generic artifacts that neutralize SCPs are shit and deserve to die. It's a good thing that they end up being forgotten, like SCP-500 and telekill which nobody gives a fuck about anymore. The scranton reality anchors need to go in the same direction.
>>
>>94402380
No, not nonsensical humor. More down to the ground and unsettling strain of dark humor
