This.
I just love the idea aswell, of a character being gay but it's something that's literally rarely seen/referred to and when it is it's really not that big of a deal.
I remember there was this sitcom (not /co/ i know) about British paramedics, and the pilot episode featured them going through an 'Up, Horny, Down' period after some really gorey call.
One of the three main characters basically called someone from Cragislist during their Horny phase and when the knock at the door came it turns out it was a big black dude. They even got a few jokes in, but it struck me because the guy in question wasn't camp, he wasn't in any way obviously gay. It just turns out he was.
That's stuck with me, it was fantastic.

In fact, I think it might have happened multiple times in the x-wing novels
>the main character's mom is THICC as fuck
>There's a hot new toy in town and our hero couldn't care less.
>The evil-looking character with the scary-sounding name and spooky floating castle is actually a really nice guy.
>>94410488
wasnt that the original premise of miraculus ladybug?
Villian ends up becoming good due to the death of a young child supporter who believed in them to be able to to change their ways right up to the very end.
said death was caused by the villians actions due to them being unable to believe in themselves.
>>94410387
>Turns out the ancient "evil" is just left-handed or gay or something, not exactly evil by today's standards
>>94407708
The Shade in Robinson's Starman was effectively this.
Jokester of the group constantly jokes to make their team smile and laugh through their moments of suffering and despair
its shown the jokester's own life has had the hardest trials of all the characters.

Does empowered count?

Villain kills hero
achieves all their goals
becomes bored as shit
goes by themselves to hero's grave site, puts down a bouquet of flowers and fall to their knees and sobs.

Now that's something I would want to see
comedic cartoonish weight gain episode
character goes into deviantart tier WG and begins to eat EVERYTHING
character ends off episode floating in space as a horrific self made gluttonous eldritch abomination known throughout the universe/multiverse
bonus points if female.
if you're gonna do a "characters get fat and become gluttons" episode just go nuts make it truly wacky and absurd.
>>94410706
Not exactly "the next season" but Megamind is about the life of a villain after beating the hero.

>>94384148"I need those eggs Abe."
Goofy harmless villain in cartoon gets physically and mentally warped by someone or something into a thing that is no longer just a "villain", something so warped it frightens all in the show on an instinctual level. the entire show then becomes about restoring harmless villain back to normal.
pompous, childish, temper tantrum throwing villain loses their hyper competent henchman/best friend through death
villain loses all emotions and becomes a horrifying and unfeeling villain due to the realization of true loss.

>>94410488
Gravity Falls
Heroes learn of ancient hero locked in another realm or stone or book or whatever
gather up the trinkets or learn of the way to free them and do so to beat the reoccuring goofy harmless villain
ancient hero is actually world warping malevolent abomination and the villain actually COMES to the hero pleading for a team up to re seal it.
>>94410539
No, Chat Noir was supposed to be a bad luck catalyst that could only use his bad luck powers for personal gains, but since he was in love with Ladybug, a good luck catalyst that could only use her powers for the greater good, his "personal gain" of impressing Ladybug and winning her favor allowed him to use his powers for good.
>hero goes on a quest with group of friends to stop the villain
>during the final fight the villain reveals that all of the hero's friends were under mind control all along and that's the only reason they followed the hero
>this includes even the hero's love interest
>the villain did it for shits and giggles
Na, wait. This actually happened.

>Implying faggot lefties don't deserve to get their wrist whipped until they start using the good hand
Hero beats up villain to such an extent they are left in vegetable state with a blank wide eyed look that conveys sheer terror.

Gate at least the anime disgusted me so much on so many levels how disgustingly masturbatory S U P E R I O R G L O R I O U S N I P O N E S E army totally is best, like the only fucking reason I could stomach the fucking anime was because of Rory Mercury (those fucking names too ... I stayed away from GATE because I learned that it quickly goes from "modern army fights dragons and orcs and not!Romans" to "Nippon strong Imperial Japan did nothing wrong" horseshit with a side of harem. Like for gods sake the reveal that the Americans are bad guy is due to the fact that apparently no other country uses blacks as special forces or some garbage after a mystery hit on the JSDF.
>>94411249
Wander over Yonder, happened with Peepers and Sylvia
>happy go lucky "always tries to help everyone" protag is in a moment where goofy villain is in a seconds away from horrible fate/death moment

everyone hero's sidekick/friends included when hero fucks off and does nothing, smiling gleefully as their true self emerges showing how unhinged a person would have to be to be so helpful and happy go lucky ALL the time.

Well I havent read the manga to know how different is since I have been told is relative different (like that many character are quite different and is relative darker than the anime) since the anime was a blatant propaganda tool since at the time of airing Japan was thinking in they finally change their (American-imposed) constitution and finally change the articles that forbidden to have a offensive type army and incentive people join the JSDF but the population was quite divided in that topic and in fact there where some level of fights and that is saying alot when talking about how ordered Japanese are to make public disagreements ... wouldnt be surprised that the manga was still a masturbatory JAPAN BANZAI kind of shit though

Yep. From what I gather, filthy gaijin like America and China want precious Nihon clay. I'm no stranger to anti-American sentiments in my Thai mud paintings but for the better ones, the criticisms of America are more intelligently stated than "firrthee gaijin nippon banzi"
>main cast of comedic cartoon has a robot character

>characters manage to turn off and rest the robot character
>this ends up achieving a HARD RESET, wiping ALL of the robots memories and good times they spent with the cast as a close friend.

good portion of the res of the season or show is spent building that character back up.
