It gets way better in the 2nd season imo. The episode where hes fucking around in the robot while the cthulu guy is in his own version is 10/10. When the main bad guy has a look of genuine concern and fear for the hero its something truly special.

Also the transformers parody where he comes phases out of the mist and snaps the robots necks is comedy genius. I rewatched it a month ago with a friend who never saw it and we loved it.

I like Sym-Bionic Titan for the characters and the plot. The mech design itself was novel but ugly as fuck. The Easter Island faces on all the hero machines minus Octus were just bad. I got what they were going for, it was just that I'm not a fan of that kind of Zambot era stuff vs. 80's and 90's mechs. Now the Hammer, that was a fucking cool mech.

I used to say Megas was one of my favorite cartoons but did anyone rewatch it recently? After rewatching it I notice how fucking boring it was and there was no wonder why it was canceled compare to the many other great shows at the time. You can literally see all of the best bits as gifs on 4chan, hell I bet you can take all of them and make a single webcam out of it. The rest of the show was non-stop talking and not even the funny jokes kind, just boring ass talking and waiting. Remind me of those cheap cartoons that reuse asset and have characters stand still as long as possible with maybe only a blink here and there. Like rewatch it for yourself and you can clearly see how cheaply it was made whenever the robot wasn't fighting. The actions bits imo isn't enough to save the show. They only had themselves to blame for it dying. Admittedly it got better as it went on but by then it was too late.

To be fair, the show wasn't meant to be about the action, that was just a bonus from it taking the piss out of the giant robot genre and its many tropes.

Coop was the complete antithesis of your typical mech anime kid; a slob, no real moral/emotional baggage holding him back, couldn't care less about the responsibilities of being a hero. While it probably wasn't the show's direct intent to be some comedic deconstruction of the genre, it managed to pick apart those things with its episodes and poke fun at what you'd normally expect to see in such series.

As far as I understand, the rights can be bought, but it'd be quite costly. Even then, the showmakers would not be at all able to run the shows on regular outlets as they did before. However, I recall some anons saying that they could be distributed on things like Netflix and the like, though I'm not 100% certain if that's a legit loophole or people just assuming things. I know both Genddy and the guy behind Megas are interested in getting their works back, but it seems that the big wall of cost is going to be the largest hurdle for them no matter how you cut it.

Like the slushie episode is way less funny if you don't remember the year it came out when 7-11 was pushing that tri-chamber thing so hard in the real world, or how the Glorft Theme is the Vampire Hunters from Dracula, all the classic anime references and so on.
