Its not the fact that the writers are female. Its that they are clearly sacrificing the story and characters on the altar of progression.

Summer was meant to be an average Teen age girl. She wasn't meant to be engaging or "Badass"
Now she spends all her time with Rick. Making this Rick seemingly the only one that brings along a summer for adventures. And the worst part is she'd adjusted so well so quickly. Morty has spent WAY more time with Rick and he see's whats wrong with the way he operates his missions. Summer who was meant to be smarter then the dumb Morties still doesn't understand the darker tones of ricks adventures and just wants to fight and kick ass cus "girl power"

They even tried to give her character development but it wasn't long enough transition from normal girl to super bad ass so it feels incredibly forced.

Too much nihilism rubbish, and the formula really worked best because Summer and Morty weren't used to Rick's shit.

Hopefully with them both losing their edge by the end of the episode, it'll get better from here on out.

That being said, it wasn't bad.

The episode was fine. Sorry the existence of women upsets you anon but summer was affected by the divorce too and also needed that development. as for the writers, there's been no notable change in narrative qaulity. Your incessant need to blame vagina for all your problems is why you'll die alone.

I love rick and morty. loved s1 AND 2 even though most people i knew didn't like 2, but somehow I found this ep to be the worst ep of the show. the fact that it centered around a mad max themed world bored me to tears and the writing seemed like a cheap imitation of the show. It had some clever jokes but i don't think they were very well delivered and I only laughed at robot morty saying he wants to "run in a stream", that seemed like a very roiland joke. the jerry bits were pretty good too, but yeah i was disappointed
