That dead horse still needs a beatin'.
>>94366140
>how could that man hit you?
>...it's a long story
>>94366140
"hitting your wife" seems somewhat less severe among a community that regularly beats the shit out of each other.
at least ole hank was able to hit her mother's pussy with his dick
glad they retconned him from pining all his life after the cold barren cocktease that is janet van dyne
>>94366140
That reminds me of a joke.
>what do you tell a horse with two black eyes?
>nothing you haven't already told them twice!
>>94366194
You know what Hank was building before he slapped his wife?
A robot that would beat up all his teammates but no let's instead focus on the open handed slap that was probably the lightest Janet has been hit in 8 months.
>>94366140
how can that be "what you see?" you have literally zero visual data of the event.
Like, I could see if you witnessed it, and all of a sudden you have trouble reconciling this fact with the person you see and knew. Even knowing exonerating details like the mind control supervillain, or that janet forgives him or whatever but you still have this vivid image in your head, that's something complicated and worth getting weepy over.
But just parroting what you done heard? I mean, Hank isn't R. Kelly for christ sake.
>>94366256
has she ever forgiven someone who has hurt her (and/or her friends) physically than hank?
bonus if it's a friend (not mind controlled or anything).
>>94366366
who cares what she does, she's literally always been a spiteful, awful person.
>Good thing you had those miscarriages that ruined your marriage, since I'm a shallow fuckup dating a dimwit prettyboy so the idea of anyone in my social circle having children frightens me
I honestly cannot recall a more reprehensible thing any other avenger has ever said.
>>94366208
It wasn't a retcon, man. Nadia's mom was actually part of Hank's backstory: her death was his impetus for becoming Ant-Man. Janet is Hank's second wife.
>>94366455
Christ Janet, maybe you should take the hint and learn to keep quiet.
>>94366492
more of "so why does hank get all the flak if x did the same?"
>>94366230
>Chuck Austen
Didn't we all collectively agree to pretend his career never happened
>>94366230
>he wasn't himself
>he only hit me once
>he's apologized a million times
>he's always trying to prove himself
>I CAN'T FORGIVE HIM HE HIT ME
>I HAVE TO MAKE HIS LIFE AS DIFFICULT AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE HE HIT ME
Women, everyone.
>>94366592
That is McDuffie, from Beyond
>Hank's defining characteristic is due to an artist making an accidental slap more dramatic
Meanwhile, no one brings up Reed slappin' Sue all the time
she forgave hank in the original fucking story why has everyone only read one issue jesus
(nadia having the reaction is understandable bc she has seen hank as flawless when we know dude was flawed as hell)
>>94366653
Also that it was a psychological break.
>>94366653
It's okay to hit someone if they are crazy. It's not okay for a crazy person to hit.
Just like it was not okay for a crazy person to take advantage of Mockingbird. But it is okay if Mockingbird took advantage of the crazy person then killed him.
>>94366633
Hank and Jan really deserve each other IMO
>>94366583
Peter Parker, who actually has superhuman strength Hank Pym does not, did the same sort of of hit/shove "get off me, woman!" thing to MJ. While she was pregnant.
So, ultimately the issue has never been what Hank did being so unforgiveable, it's that he, and Janet for that matter, were basically a blank slate that had almost no consistent popular characterization so that's all anyone could latch onto.
What was Janet before? she... did fashion? And was a woman? What was Hank? another superscience guy?
Compare: who is Peter Parker? Loveable loser, burdened with a guilt complex and overbearing sense of responsibility. Who is MJ? She's the Jackpot that tiger hit. Gorgeous, fun playful, also in fashion, hey how about that? but also energetic, and able to give as good as she gets, helping buoy Peter's more downer moments by reminding him he's a good person, no matter how guilty he feels.
That's the difference between a dead horse to beat and an incident that someone wrote that no one talks about anymore.
Honestly? After what she said to Wanda I'd hit Janet too fuck her.
>>94366140
Didn't Nadia literally just hit Janet like an issue ago?
>>94366492
Thanks for causing House of M, Janet.
>>94366827
And Janet will never forget. NEVER.
I'd read a book about Pymtron secretly sabotaging Janet's life while simultaneously doing a bunch of superheroics to pretend he's moved on and get back in the public's good graces.
>>94366140
Nadia is a crybaby.
>>94366790
man, between stark being remembered for creating ultron now (thanks MCU) and reed knowing more about pym particles, is the slap the only thing he has going for him now?
>>94367046
the conscious embodiment of the universe told him he was really cool, one time.
That definitely really happened and was not a bad acid trip no sir
>>94367046
No?Robots and more stuff.
>>94366827
Yes, it's why we didn't need the DNA test to prove that she's a true Pym.
>>94367160
That's different!
She's distraught and going through a mental breakdown.
>>94366753
They really do
>>94366492
issue? is this bendis?
>>94366230
Did janet throw a fit after?
>>94367160
Will she bitch about that punch for the next 50 years too?
>>94367439
Literally hysterical.
>>94366986
Let's not act like Ultron isn't also a massive fucking crybaby.
>>94369447
ultron steven when?
>>94366583
>>94366790
This shit was far more brutal and graphic than what Hank did.
>>94369715
weird how much more damaging the actual page is but they just cut to the actual slap.
the dialogue from the frame below it is just as harmful to hank as the actual blow.
>>94367029
That's such a poor comeback, Hank.
Because, yes, Norman does enjoy throwing women off of bridges.
Do you enjoy slapping women around?
You just implied that you did.
You twit.
>>94367160
Fuck yes.
Her father's daughter.
>>94370084
>You're a dick because you hit a woman.
>You're a dick because you killed a woman.
Seems like Hank one-upped him to me.
>>94369447
Except with Ultron it's less crying, more genocide.
>>94366230
Why are Medusa and Janet floating?
