Fucking Nostalgia Critic fags. You don't talk about the movie for years, then he reviews it and you all tackle on.
That cat gave me a monkey bone when I was young
>>94363784
Not op but I haven't been there in years. But didn't this movie have some really bonerrific scenes?
>>94363784
I have one then.
1983's Rock and Rule.
Talk about that. Quick, before it's talked about. Because we're that site, right?

Wiki article says it was based on a comicbook.
Loosely based, but still.
>>94363810
yesish, whole movie is pretty much about Protag trying not to get cucked
>>94363852
Why is Omar such a shit?
>>94363760
I wouldn't consider it /co/ but I do like it
>>94363784
how do you know he talked the movie
>mother wanted to see this with me a long ass while ago with a rental because she had no idea and thought it was interesting
Tell me how much of a bullet I dodged by saying "No" and going with another movie.
>>94363852
We have a thread about it every once and a while, its just so bizarre in so many ways. Animation is top tier and its impossible to go wrong with Debbie Harry
>Also I'm frankly shocked there was no Rush in a Canadian movie about Rock and Roll.

My mother took my sister and I to see sweettie Todd, we didn't say no and she had no idea what she was getting into
>>94363760
I looked this up.
This is fucking based on Dark Town?
>>94365875
I like having noise in the background as I work.
>>94363760
It better count as /co/. That movie's fuckin' a blast and has a pretty great OST too.

Has someone made a cut putting the deleted scenes back in? I liked the movie, but it makes no sense without them.

I love Sweeney Todd. I still listen to the soundtrack on occasion. One day I'd really like to see a production of the actual musical.
>>94368054
It's good. Obviously it depends on who you go see, but the script itself is good.
>>94366854
I love Sweeney. That was my introduction to musicals.
I talked my dad into taking me to see Freddy vs Jason when I was 12. He made sure to shield my eyes from any nudity, but didn't give a fuck about me seeing people get butchered.
This movie always looked like dogshit, same with this.
>>94363760
Yes. It's based on a comic.
>>94368285
As the good lord intended.

I saw it in high school with a group of friends. It was my pick and I was really excited about it. I told everyone it was a musical about a 19th century serial killer, but somehow no one really understood that I meant that literally. They all figured it would be like Pirates because Johnny Depp. I guess to be fair, the trailers did not really portray that movie accurately. I had a blast, and everyone else hated it.
I kinda liked Monkeybone to be honest.
I mean, NC's completely right about everything but I wasn't annoyed, instead it was rather interesting for the visuals and the ideas.
I like surreal stuff so much.
I remember seeing ads on CN and Nickelodeon, back then it creeped me out and even now it still kinda does and I'm the kind of person who really enjoys surreal humor and design.

I saw it on tv when I was a teenager and ended up really digging the dark town (that is what it was called, right?) segments. I later found out it was critically panned and thought it seemed like a bit of a harsh reaction.
Upon rewatching it, I still think the dark town segments are fucking top notch. But the second half really brings the movie down.

Fucking Nostalgia Critic Fans.
>>94363760
I want to fuck that cat.
>>94363760
its based on a comic book, so kinda
same with wristcutters: a love story
that being said, no one has probably literally ever talked about either of the comics here, so yeah, but dont expect a big thread
similar to other things, like the comic adaptations of books, like dante's inferno(2 not counting godzilla in hell), or the (3 i can think of off the top of my head) of Beowulf.
feel free to talk about them, but dont expect a thread that doesnt start on life support
>>94371972
It can always devolve into something else that people care about.
>Miss Kitty on /co/

We all did. Until she fucking ate that guy, the boner got confused at that bit.
>>94372972
Well the guy was a dirty rat bastard also did she really eat that guy? All I remember was the movie implying she did
>>94373015
Yes. Her last scene was literally her mouth covered in blood as she had just ripped open the rat guard's throat and was eating him.

I used to masturbate to fonda in monkeybone before I had internet porn
