Yeah, it was the same in the original series.
Orion would act like a caustic angry anti-socialite and Lightray would always rebound with a joke or inviting him to a party.

comics need to start using a white background for the layouts again. it allows you to lower the contrast instead of making everything heavy fucking inks and dark. Not everything is batman.

The art in the reprint is so much more pleasing. I also think the backgrounds were a bit weak and the colors were a bit off.

This was a pretty interesting and well written issue and I don't think the art is bad just that it doesn't fit. And I think one simple solution would be white backgrounds.

The Forager series is itself a pseudo-sequel to a separate story.

This is just a story that pulls elements, but if you want, then maybe sometime during the last two issues of The New Gods. They know Forager and Desaad is alive.
