Just letting you guys know that the new Teen Titans Go episodes got lower ratings than Steven Universe.
Yes, you heard that right. Cartoon Network is playing TTGO all week long when the literally have other shows that get better ratings
>>94343782
>Steven Universe
Nice bait OP.
>>94343782
It's cheaper to air; they don't care if it gets better ratings.
>>94343818
I love Steven Universe personally.
But even if you don't like Steven Universe, you have to admit it's ridiculous to not show a single Steven Universe episode and fill the entire week with a show that has lower ratings right now
>>94343782
Isn't SU mostly aired in a Bomb Format or something?
>>94343818
>calling a statement of fact bait
The reverse bait callout. Clever, very clever.Well, not clever at all really.
>>94343916
>That one THOT panel
>>94343782
Interesting.
>>94343916
>>94343847
Bait is bait anons. Truth or not,it is what it is. I just want to laud you on the fact that this will pretty much get repliesthough so far not much,
To be fair why would you care about the premier of an episode when you know you will see it played 10 more times that same week.
SU isn't a weekly show, and it isn't aired constantly, it shows like one shitty episode every few months and people who don't usually watch the channel tune in for it. Reruns of shows like SU do terrible, reruns of TTG consistently have decent viewership.
Not to mention any specific Steven Bomb gets much more advertising than a random TTG episode.
>>94343818
Meta bait?
>>94344602
This.
People don't seem to understand that CN right now is operating in desperation mode, trying to make as much short term money as possible. TTGO spam is a literal scam in order to increase the value of advertising space during TTGO.
However since CN has been doing this for almost two years now their scorched earth policy is biting them in the ass, kids are slowly getting burnt out on TTGO and their lack of engaging new shows is failing to create alternatives to it.
So you can expect very soon either a wave of layoffs, several executives suddenly leaving CN, or most likely both as the execs take the money they earned from TTGO and run, leaving their replacements to try and rebuild the brand.
>>94343830
What does "cheaper to air" even mean? What is the difference??? Do they not own the rights to these shows or what?
>>94343782
Those are premiere ratings. How well does Shitty Cacaverse do in rerun ratings? Hint: It's not very good as serialized series usually aren't great at holding their water.
>>94346073
How can you dislike Steven Universe? the art-style is beautiful, the characters are adorable and full with personality, and the storyline is excellent
>>94346387
>the art-style is beautiful
>storyline is excellent
>>94346906
Yes. exactly.
>>94345966
Hey barney fag, Where did that came from? Give me some source.
>>94347112
fuck off tripfag
>>94343818
i appreciate the complexity of this shitpost
>>94346387
>>the art-style is beautiful
Go check your eyesight.
>>94343830
How? If anything, it's more expensive to air because they get it from Warner Bros, while SU is a show they own lock stock and barrel?
>>94346387
The art style isn't even consistent from scene to scene.
>>94346023
CN doesn't produce TTG (0 cost)
CN produces SU ($$$ cost)
outside of angry fans, has TTG ever made a controversy for CN compared to SU?
>>94343782
Yes! TTGO is finally dying. People are starting to realize how much of a piece of shit it really is.
>>94344993
>However since CN has been doing this for almost two years now their scorched earth policy is biting them in the ass, kids are slowly getting burnt out on TTGO and their lack of engaging new shows is failing to create alternatives to it.
Oh please, they have a perfectly valid alternative in Justice League Action, which, by the way, is way better written and animated than TTGO, yet they stubbornly refuse to air it at any decent time, if at all, because CN are fucking morons
>>94346073
>Those are premiere ratings.
Yes, those are premiere ratings for 4 episodes of each show. You have correctly identified the information being communicated by the OP image. Well done.
>How well does Shitty Cacaverse do in rerun ratings?
There's no way to answer that question since CN only airs reruns of YouR NEw faVoRitE ShOw.
>>94348003
That's premiere ratings, retard. TTGo is still doing fine
>>94343782
CN is actually actively trying to kill Faggot Cryingverse in detriment to itself? Good
Who cares? Who watches tv anymore?
>>94343782
>1.5 million sufags
what kind of hell is this?
>>94348086
Yeah, I don't get that, JLA is amazing, yet they bury it.
>>94343782
I like teen titans GO
>>94348086
>Justice League Action
Comedy is king, Action is dead.
>>94343782
>muh ratings
You realize CN makes literally all of its money from merchandising, right?
Teen Titans Go is a merch machine
>>94350732
So is SU. And CN loves SU, they promote the everloving shit out of it compared to other shows, only TTG beats it in promotion and that's more because of its strictly episodic nature. SU's issue is that its story-driven focus makes it hard to rerun, and since CN seems caught up on episode bombs they like to dump episodes in thematic arcs. SU has more toys, tie-ins, and promotion than pretty much any show on CN besides TTG, maybe even more so.
CN's main focus is more on their app and streaming service than the TV network now, they get more views through there. Why they've chosen TTG to rerun so much is probably the same reason they rerun Gumball the second-most despite relatively mediocre viewership; it's effectively just easily syndicated TV filler that doesn't have an overarching plot.
>>94343782
both shows are ass. bring back JL
>>94343782
Aqua teen had worst ratings than metacopalyse and aqua teen lasted longer
TTG doesn't have a fanbase that pressured a fanartist to commit suicide
>>94343847
Yes, which is what the idiot OP is neglecting to mention as a factor. I can't believe I'm posting in a bait thread, but the end of the argument is this: TTG makes more money, so that's why they're milking this cow instead of SU. Period. Now we can all go back to shit that matters.
>>94350992
er, meant to tag >>94343874 not >>94343847
>>94346387
>artstyle
the characters are so inconsistent that even me with my poor observation skills can notice several size changers per episode
>>94343847
>it's ridiculous to not show a single Steven Universe episode and fill the entire week with a show that has lower ratings right now
Gumball, Clarence, and We Bare Bears exist.
>94343782 (You)
>SU
>namefag
>tripfag
turn your trip off you faggot
Over saturation basically
>>94343782
How did K.O. do yesterday?
>>94343782
>something We Bare Bears related comes on today, CN logo on the bottom right and everything
>think they changed the scheduling for the better
>it was apparently a commercial or something? it immediately cuts to black and TTG slaps me in the fucking face right after
They know what they're doing.
>>94352070
>Loving We Bare Bears
Anon...
>>94352305
I don't, but I'll take anything over a week long marathon of Teen Titans shlock
>>94343782
>Teen Titans Go makes money and that's why they put it out so much regardless of ratings
That's the reasoning i see in these threads, but i want to know how do they make more money out of TTG than from the other shows and if posible some evidence to back it up, just saying "It just works!" doesnt answer a damn thing
>>94350684
Despite its name JLA is about equal parts action and comedy
>>94352344
NetFlix.
>>94343782
SU gets ratings because it is never on. The few times it is they make an event out of it so it gains more viewership.
>>94348086
>>94348822
Yeah I really wish they'd show reruns of JLA. On the bright side though, since they aren't burning it off and instead airing the episodes weekly hopefully that means there's another season planned.
>>94352652
TTG does not have any noticeable dip in ratings no matter what they do, it just remains consistent at all times so it is considered to be low risk.
>>94353165
Didn't they say that they're starting Season 2 back in SDCC 2017?
>>94352661
Oh shit.
>>94353245
I don't know if they confirmed it. That would be great if they did. I remember in their panel they said they'd use Red Hood and Killer Croc in the show if they got a second season.
Also that Supergirl would be in an upcoming episode.
>>94353297
That face. Censor it.
>Cable companies are fucking morons
And the sky is blue. This is why they're trying to lobby to end net neutrality.
>>94343782
Cartoon Network: The Kids are wrong! They want 24/7 Teen Titans Go and they will fucking like it!
>>94354594
I don't understand why they cant just do what they did back when cn made a lot of money.
How hard is it to hit the old male/female anime demo withg a new toonami for teens/kids/manchildren while getting more qualitty shows like old at, flapjack, ee and e, old ppg, su, megas, cnknd, b+_m and the like.
cn only went to shit when they went in a new direction. especially with cn real.
If premieres were all that mattered, they wouldn't flood the schedule with re-runs. Premieres are statistically less than 1% of any network's line-up. I'd venture to guess that Teen Titans Go does far better in re-runs than Steven Universe.
It's the SpongeBob effect. Nickelodeon realized that they didn't need new episodes since re-runs made them so much money. So they often aired the same old episodes non-stop.
>>94350992
Really? All my local stores are constantly sold out of SU merch while the TTG merch rots away on the shelves of Toys R Us.
Try again.
>>94343782
Children watch TTGO which is what advertisers want.
Emotionally stunted adults watch SU which isn't what they're shooting for.
>>94343782
>using wikipedia
>>94343782
Steven universe has story progression, TTG you can just grab any episode and doesn't matter.
That's the only argument CN could use, and still doesn't justify 24/7 of TTG.
holy shit, what the fuck are you people doing watching TV? Get a tablet or anything and watch whatever the fuck you want.
>>94343782
Why are you wasting time with tv anon?
>>94355129
It beats using TV Tropes.
>>94355135
Well to be fair, it doesn't go into their Adult Swim block, so maybe only 14/5.
>>94355598
>anon
He's a tripfag literally from reddit who has already made a name for himself posting bait threads.
>>94347802
That doesn't make any sense. It cost money to produce, but it doesn't cost money to air.
If anything, they should be airing Steven Universe more often to get ad revenue to make back the money they lost making it.
Why the fuck do SU episodes take so long to make
Nothing in the show is high-quality enough to justify several-month breaks between every 4-5 episodes
>>94355015
>withg
>>94357801
They don't, CN holds a backlog because they believe the bomb format gets them better ratings. An episode of SU takes roughly as long to make as any other CN show.
>>94357801
The animation and art in SU is extremely high qualtiy, idk what you are talking about.
>>94343782
Out of curiosity, when exactly did the TTG spam begin?
>>94355015
Honestly? Because kids don't watch as much TV as they did ten years ago. These days they're just as likely to mess around on their iPads. And those who watch anime can see it pretty much as it comes out in Japan, thanks to higher internet speeds and the streaming boom.
Toonami still exists, by the way.
>>94360182
With their new CEO.
>>94353086
This, Anons here a really so retarded that can't understand this?
Who cares about the Bomb format? It's fine. The problem is that they don't rerun Steven Universe as much as TTG.
>>94360139
