Yes, she's a villain.
Yes, he told her.
No, she didn't care and still hates Peter. Nevermind the fact that Doc Ock, the man who did ruin her, is currently alive and kicking in a cloned Peter body.
So I must reiterate.
Fuck Dan Slott. I can't hate him for OMD or keeping Peter and MJ apart. But I can hate him for ruining Felicia.

>>94337918
the '04 Marvel Knights run was probably the best her character had been in, well... ever.
Then OMD happened, rolled back ALL that character development and made her WORSE somehow... and then Slott fucked it up even more. SpOck decks her, has her carted off to jail, where she goes fucking insane and decides to become a villain because "muh street cred" even though she's been far more active doing good than any sort of crime.

/pol/tard answer: She's a proud and pure Aryan woman trying to secure a future for White chi- Wait, what did that pavement ape Luke Cage Say? Coal burning whore kill the race traitor day of the rope when I don't care if Luke Cage is probably lying he said it so it's true burn the witch REEEEE.
Reasonable answer: Felicia is a full blown villain right now and is more interested in killing all the spiders than she is fucking them.
On top of that he's practically a child and Felicia has never shown such tendencies in the past.
And finally, even if she wasn't a villain, she is so absolutely obsessed with Peter that she'd only resort to fucking Miles to make him Jealous, just like all those other times she sucked face with Peter's best friends like Wolverine and Daredevil. However even the, she'd probably back out (And maybe vomit on him) when it came to light that he was in highschool.
>>94341385

>>94338278
wait WHAT!!!!
>>94342085
Near the end of Superior Spider-Man there was a few pages dealing with Black Cat's processing into prison.
Felicia quickly made a prison bully, a very big and muscular bull dyke.
It's implied that the guards turn a blind eye to butch tormenting and possibly even raping Felicia, and the look on Felicia's face is increasingly more despondent in every panel.
When Felicia finally breaks out of prison, her bad luck powers end up killing butch while butch is going on a long tangent about how Felicia is now lower than dogshit and basically the entire prison's bottom bitch.
>>94340106
Its easier than you might think.
>>94338982
Really shows how enamored she was with Spider-Man that when he was thinking of breaking it off she would immediately try to take his mind off it. Like the desperation from her was almost saddening to watch.
>>94344154

>>94342313

>>94344814
I don't think he's ever gone full strength against Felicia to be fair, even when she was trying to ruin his life. Otto showed that not holding back, spidey can easily take care of her like nothing. Peter always caring about her is the difference.
>>94342313
...So basically Slott needs to be sodomized with an AIDS/cancer/Zika infected broken pipe.
>>94345685

This is why I can't enjoy western comics in general. There's just too many writers pulling a character in different directions. Most of the time it becomes canon (like OMD) and creates a bigger mess for the next writer.
Why can't we have actual character development, growth and consequences? Ultimate Spider-Man did it so well with Peter's supporting cast developing as much as Pete. Ultimate JJ Jameson eventually discovers how great Spider-Man is and funds Peter's college tuition. The guy did a complete 180 in an understandable and logical way. Was this partially due to Bendis writing Ultimate for so long? I don't know.
I blame Slott for a lot of things but I think this is a problem for western comics in general. You don't really see something like this in manga where there's just a single writer with a clear vision. The story narrative takes a huge dive when you got some new writer try to build upon nearly 30 years of a character.
This shit's fucked.
>>94357169
>>94357169
It really is just a problem with cape comics. There are plenty of Western comics that only ever have a single author and actually progress.
A lot of this could be fixed by having very strict do's and don'ts for every character and editorial keeping writers on a short leash.
But as it stands the only things like that for Spider-Man are "No marriage, no growth, no happiness".
They also need to let heroes age ffs. Half of the popular characters in comics are already ageless immortals or close to it.
And characters like Mayday, Terry, and Dick show that people are willing to accept children or "Children" taking up their parent's mantle when they die or retire.
Pretty much a daily conversation he had with Felicia when he was with MJ.
>>94357169
It is switching the authors that fucks everything up. If you look at some of the best runs you have Claremont basically running the entire xline (via wheezy simonson and anne N) for 17 years without having to worry about character development from stuff before his run for like half of it.

It shouldn't even have been that easy.
Felicia should have at least be perturbed by Peter's "It was Doc Ock!" admission.
Even if she didn't believe it right then and there, she should at least be more receptive to it now that Doctor Octopus is running around in what amounts to a Spider-Man suit with octopus arms in a body that's the same height and build as Spider-Man.
At this point she should at least be second-guessing her revenge and redirecting it towards the one who deserves it.

does she get diddled or does spidey save her at the last second?
>>94336583
Has there ever been a time where Spidey and Black Cat had an actual relationship?
Seems like it'd have a fun dynamic.
>>94369266
well now this is just upsetting
>>94369297
Something the wannabe rapist's brother teleported inside his body and kills him in the process. The story went off the rails.
>>94369307
>Has there ever been a time where Spidey and Black Cat had an actual relationship?
Yes
The time when they had a relationship. 70s or 80s I don't remember
>>94369297
This rapist gets killed before he can even touch Felicia.
The notable thing about the story is that Kevin Smith re-wrote Felicia's origin story.
Originally, the reason she became The Black Cat was because she idolized her father and wanted to follow in his footsteps, and do fun thief things for the thrill of it.
Kevin Smith decided that changing her origin to "I got raped by a college boyfriend so I trained really really hard to get revenge against him, but then he died in a car crash or something before I could and I felt empty so I became a cat burglar lol".
This story was largely considered to be the single worst thing anyone has ever put to page in regards to Black Cat.
Well. Until Slott decided that he wanted to break all the records of most hated stories relating to Spider-Man. Swear to god that fucker isn't going to stop until he creates a story that pisses everyone off more than OMD did.
>>94338199
What happened in OMD? Is it hated here amongst /co/?
>>94369466
Damn, shame it hasn't happened since.
Honestly, I wish Homecoming had made Felicia the love interest. That'd at least be unique.
>>94369537
>Is it hated here amongst /co/?
Well.
One More Day happened 10 years ago.
And Spider-Man fans are still fucking pissed about it.
Imagine putting out a piece of fiction so infuriating that it causes people to seethe for a full decade.
The wound is never allowed to close and things just keep opening it.
>>94369542
That's where Sony is crashing the fun. I mean, MJ had the original trilogy, Gwen Stacy had TASM. Felicia is getting that spin off which no one wanted with Silver Sable and a truckload of other characters there by showing Sony has learned nothing from TASM. I mean the trinity of Spider-Man's love life is MJ, Gwen, and Felicia.
>>94350140
kendaoh
>>94369542
>Damn, shame it hasn't happened since.
It hasn't happened since because, shortly after their relationship ended, Peter went balls deep into MJ and never left. Marrying her until OMD.
And in the 10 years since, Slott and Quesada have been pushing their own waifus on Peter instead of doing anything with Felicia.
>>94342313
Shouldn't she be more powerful than tge other inmates?
>>94369700
I believe the prison had power dampeners.
The only reason she escaped from prison is because the shit Otto/Peter was doing at the time caused the power in the prison to go out, letting Felicia's bad luck powers kick in.
A lot of Felicia's power come from gadgets. I want to say I remembered even her suit having some kind of strength augments.
>>94369649
So it's conversational I hear but what happened in it to piss off everyone?
>>94369537
the tl;dr is
>peter reveals his identity in civil war
>someone (bullseye I think?), obviously, tries to kill aunt may
>they almost succeed
>peter isn't willing to let her go so he finds Mephisto and bargains with him
>gives up his marriage with MJ AND his unborn daughter
>aunt may is saved and almost everyone forgets he's spider-man
Basically, Marvel editorial (read: Joe Quesada) didn't like that Spidey was on the verge of becoming an actual family man adult in his mythos so decided to reset the clock. The executions was god awful (by the time you realize he gave away his daughter you're ready to put down the book) and made Peter seem like a complete fucking asshole by not giving up his already decrepit Aunt who was halfway in the grave ANYWAYS
It was basically one big ass pull to maintain Spidey status quo so Peter could continue to do the same ol bullshit he's been doing for the last 20 years
>>94369677
I'd forgive no Felicia if we at least got a proper MJ.
But Sony/Marvel can't even do that. Spiderman: Homecoming might aswell be Blue Beetle: Homecoming for how Spiderman it is.
>tfw we'll never get an adult-Spidey movie with Black Cat as the love interest
>>94369815
Don't forget that Spiderman went to all the usual people asking for help and nobody could save her.
Doctor fucking Strange couldn't heal a bullet wound.
Also how Aunt May told him it was her time and to move on.
>>94346507
wholesome.
>>94369858
oh yeah, that was fucking dumb as hell
Spider Man was friends with at least half of the worlds smartest people and nobody could stop a bullet wound LOL
It was so fucking stupid
>>94369765
Hoooo boy.
Alright.
So Aunt May gets shot by a bullet meant for Peter from one of Kingpin's hired guns and nobody can fix it. Even Doctor Strange is powerless, but he does let Peter talk to May via astral projection.
May tells Peter to just let her go and that she's lived a long happy life and she's proud of the man he's become. A fitting end for the old woman.
But nope.
Peter can't accept it.
So Mephisto shows up and offers him and MJ a deal.
If they give their marriage to him, he'll solve their problem.
So they agree. Nevermind the fact that at this moment in time, MJ is pregnant.
And *Poof*. Mephisto does his thing. Peter and MJ never get married, but they stay together a while. And then I believe when MJ gets pregnant again she miscarries, I don't remember One Moment in Time pissed me off.
So the laundry list of problems amounts to.
>Spider-Man made a fucking deal with the devil. The literal goddamn devil.
>The unborn life of Peter and MJ's daughter was snuffed out so that May could live a few more years.
>Other spider characters (Like Black Cat) had decades of development wiped out.
>One of the most enduring relationships in comic books, second in popularity only to Superman and Lois Lane, was wiped out in the shittiest way possible because then EIC Joe Quesada just went through a divorce and he was mad about it.
And now, one of the newest predicaments is that MJ is a massive fucking cunt in the comics to Peter now, and Peter is a little soft spoken beta male towards her. That, and Renew Your Vows shows everyone would could have been and it pisses them off.
>>94369815
>made Peter seem like a complete fucking asshole by not giving up his already decrepit Aunt who was halfway in the grave ANYWAYS
Wasn't all on Peter. MJ pushed him to that decision when he was starting to back off from it. To where both will always feel like something is missing but can't figure it out. Now Mephisto has his sights set on Deadpool next.
>>94369203
>"...incapacitating the hell out of you."
What awful dialogue.
>>94369815
Don't forget that Slott sperged out on twitter and gave us some BS about "company mandate" and that "It was for the better" or something along those lines. The sooner that fetal alcohol fat fuck dies from a heartattack the better.
>>94369815
I hate how Civil War impacted on Marvel comics.
So OMD just brings Spider-Man back to status
quo.
Did it get any better after from the sounds of Black Cat's current state I'm thinking no.
>>94369954
>>94369971
and the worst part about the deal (other than the sacrificial child) is that Mephisto specifically told them "you'll always have that tingle in the back of your head but you won't ever ever ever be getting back together"
He basically left a slither of their old relationship in their soul so that deep down they will hurt every time they see each other and reminded of what they gave up. So when they actually do interact with each other post OMD/BND, it's always "huh what could have been" but it's really Mephisto fucking with them.
>>94370076
Have you read Spider-man/Deadpool? Has Mephisto basically taunting Peter over that fact when he was in hell.
>>94369971
>Now Mephisto has his sights set on Deadpool next.
>Meddling with the true love of an entity infinitely more powerful than yourself.
Is Mephisto retarded?
>>94370157
i havent but i hope he punched him in the dick for that
>>94370162
He wanted to forever break Peter by making him do the one act he swore never to do. Kill. Deadpool tricks him by being the one to kill itsy-bitsy instead of Spider-Man which pissed him off to no end.
>>94370076
It's also made worse by the fact that Gwenpool had offhandedly mentioned she was going to sit Peter and MJ down and tell them how they dun fucked up and let them in on Mephisto's BS.
But that never happened.
And it never will.
All it did was get my hopes up.
>>94369954
Wow, so this fucked Spider-Man entirely up. It's baffling how such writing can even exist let alone be published. They just couldn't let the web-head go.
Aren't there like 4 web-crawlers now? What gives?
Sometimes I'm glad I don't read much comics because eventually I'd be in your guy's shoes who followed great stories only to be punched straight in the face by them being tainted.
will she be in the next spiderman movies with Tom Holland?
>>94370270
Oh, I know why he's pissed.
But that's literal Death's boo-bear.
Mephisto should just let it go.
the only redeeming part about spider-man at that time on /co/, was that Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane (AKA Bitches Love Spider-Man) was running and was serving as a chaser to the trite we were getting in 616
>>94369507
I've liked a lot of Kevin Smith movies, but he's the worst fucking comic writer ever.
>>94369507
Why the fuck would you rewrite a fun, semi-silly character to have a grimdark backstory?
>>94370286
Yes. There are multiple wall crawlers now.
The entire reason Quesada did this was so that Peter could go back to being a cool young adult banging multiple women and being a loser living with his aunt.
But look at what we have no.
Miles Morales: The high school Spider-Man
Gwen Stacey: The college Spider-Man (Female)
Cindy Moon: The flat broke young adult Spider-Man (Female) who works for a news outlet.
Anya Corazon: Spider-Girl.
Kaine Parker: The Jason Todd of Spider-Men
Spider-Woman: The spider who's not really a spider except for when mystical forces tell her she's a spider and she needs to deal with it.
Ben Reilly: The clone everybody asked for when there wasn't a shit ton of spiders, but now everyone wants him to go the fuck away because there are too many spiders.
There is no reason for Peter to not grow the fuck up and get married. I don't care who he gets married to at this point either. Punch Mephisto in the dick and work it out with MJ, rehabilitate Felicia with his dick, grab that other Gwen because you know damn well they've both thought about it and she's legal so who cares.
Anything is better than dirt poor fuck nobody respects, or Ironman 2.0 who nobody respects.
>>94370438
Because the meme becomes more powerful than reality. The desire to beat the trend preempts a trend that might never have existed and now everything needs to be super mature and adult and serious.

Why can't writers just have separate runs without it all having to be connected? It just either ruins or improves the work the previous writer left behind.
I guess it's because you need one big canon story. And having different runs all being their own canon would confuse people?

5. A blue wolverine
6. Wolverine's son or younger self, I don't know, from the past or something that's bi I think.

>>94371180
I like that Ghost Rider was a bait and switch where he appears to be the newest host of the spirit of vengeance, and then they reveal he isn't that at all and is ironically the type of thing the real ghost rider would hunt down and kill
>>94371201
Honestly, Peter and Gwen being a "Thing" would actually make for a pretty compelling story if it were written well. Gwen's younger than Peter, but not so much younger that the relationship goes beyond the social norms for younger female/older male relationships.
Her Peter is dead.
His Gwen is dead.
The fact that each one exists in the same world right now probably has them both feeling incredibly awkward. They would both need to go through that internal struggle where they try to find some rationalization for all of this.
Are they betraying their respective Gwen/Peter if they get together? Would their Gwen/Peter even care if they knew this would happen?
They'd need both need to get to know the love of their life all over again, as each one is very similar to their dead counterparts, but also worlds different. And of course, there's the dynamic of each one now being Spider people, something they once assumed the other would never truly get.
A good writer could do something endearing with this.
But Spider-Man isn't going to get a good writer until Slott gets fired or dies.
Also this Gwen never fucked Norman Osborn, so that's a plus.

>>94371452
I've only HEARD of shit like this. I CAN go back and read that era of comics and look specifically for Black Cat issues but that's not a feasible thing to do. It's too dated and scarce. It's like trying to find the Reese's Pieces in a bowl of M&Ms. My only knowledge of this relationship, along with Peter's relationship with MJ and Gwen, are from osmosis of various things like nerds, /co/ and old cartoons.
What do young people like me know of Spider-Man in the comics?
He banged a midget. Made a bunch of people really unhappy. Suddenly a bunch of Spider people. Black Spider-Man? Spider-Gwen?
It's shit. Absolute shit these days. I'd rather have a grown up MARRIED Peter Parker than keep resetting him back to high school.
>>94371565
Because Spider-Man use to be almost all fantastic, now it's almost all shit. All we can do is talk about how the franchise use to be.
>>94371367

Kek. There's no such thing in comics. Soon the reign of Slott and Quesada will pass. That's a little cynical, don't you think , anon-kun?
Market forces drive sales and sales drive production; everything old will be new again, eventually. Everything works in cycles. The popularity and profitability of "serious," "mature," "adult," storylines will pass and we'll enter a new, fun, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
>>94371868
Nah. That'll be the generation after.
Writers don't get into positions where they get to make any kind of meaningful impact until they hit their late 30's to early 40's.
The late 20's early 30's bracket right now has a lot of "Bring back old Spider-Man, new Spider-Man is shit" people just biding their time until the old blood dies off.

That's exactly what Homecoming was an attempt at, though. We've already shot past Dark Age 2 and are now in the Camp revival. Only this "light hearted" shit is full of liberal political shit and changing established characters.
Kids will grow up and Zendaya will be their MJ. Just how it'll be.
>>94371960
Zendaya's character will never be in the comics nor will movie synergy have an effect on the comics. Especially with how homecoming wasn't the exact home run hitter they expected it to be.

Fix'd
Dresden Files author did a Spiderman novel
Basic storyline: Morlans Brother and Sister turn up to kill Spiderman (this was before Spiderverse) and hire Rhino to bait him out.
Spidey escapes them but they can track him, Black Cat helps out.
The Donut Steel twins almost kill Rhino, Spidey saves him.
All 3 work together to save the day.
We get MJ and Felicia not!bitching each other out - only spidey asking them to delay the fight until his camera is ready actually stops them fighting and they both turn their annoyance to him.
And of course Rhino lamenting about some of the stupid mistakes he made in his early career

Eh it's Spidey vs 2 Morlun-tier foes at once - both faster, stronger and tougher than him with no morals and they see humans as little more than insects.
Their goal is to kill spidey and they're not shy about hurting anyone who gets in their way.
Spidey is struggling with how he's supposed to beat them and hopefully not kill them.
