For a straight-up adaptation of the source material, yeah. The movie stands on its own though, and for different reasons, is basically as good as the graphic novel.

Yes, a miniseries would've worked a lot better. It would need at least 45 minutes for each volume to get everything in that the movie couldn't, like the story line with Lisa.
