Nonbinary isn't trans persay. Trans is specifically believing that your gender is not that of the body you were born with, rather the other one, whereas nonbinary is against using such binary male/female labels so instead of he/she they use they. It's kind of a more reasonable approach that defies standard gender roles, up until the whole not identifying with the same thing regular people do that makes it feel like another snowflake thing.

From a perspective of gender as a spectrum rather than a definitive male/female "binary".

The idea that we shouldn't feel tied down to whatever our gender implies is a great idea for overcoming stigmas. A man doesn't necessarily have to be masculine and a woman doesn't have to be feminine and many would be spared a lot of grief if that kind of thinking caught on.

It's when that gets into the pronoun game that it gets questionable for me, because for fuck's sake, the whole point of being able to be masculine without being a man means you should still be okay being called a woman because it'll ultimately just be your biological sex, which is binary barring the incredibly rare exceptions. People gotta know what they're getting into. Ain't nothing wrong with your attractions so long as you're honest about it and nobody's getting hurt.
