One of the greatest covers I've seen

Anon last week was a bit on point. We do need some fresh pictures here - and there should be plenty, I mean there are over several thousand separate copies of Super Books alone.

Hopes & Ideas for Mos2? And Superman in future DCEU films?

I'm guessing this was a pre-COIE drawing but from when Jack came back to DC? But I don't recognize it

>my name is Brainiac 5 and my face is made out of clay
Glad Chris is back, hopefully he doesn't stay edgy for too long
>>94277682
Why can't Superman and Batman be together all the time? They play off each other so well?
>>94277832
I'm guessing they think it would take sales away from Trinity right now, which is probably not incorrect.

Yeah I don't mind it if they want to celebrate the golden age characters, but she just truly doesn't mean as much to them as they do to each other. It's dumb.
Superman being a hypocrite.

I'm not expecting much. Jurgens a nice guy and can be competent to good, but he's not particularly imaginative and I don't suspect that Superman editorial really cares about a Johns created character unless someone else higher above them is forcing the issue. Plus, Jurgens was the one who 'created' Jonathan and I'm not sure they see room for Chris - at least, not at this time frame.

We need more Hal and Clark hanging out.
Here's one showing how great a person Supes is
>>94278608
Which story was that? Superman is president there?
>>94278630
I'm assuming it's pre-Coast City, but no, Clark was never president, that's only Calvin Ellis and perhaps an elseworld that doesn't come to mind.
I'm guessing the flag was just an artist conception because Daily Planet editor was pony tail era.
Why did they have Chris look like a edgy teenager?
>>94278471
I don't expect him to get adopted again (though it would be nice for him and Jon to be brothers) but I want him to break away from his evil parents and all at least.

Pre-FP Zod and what's her face made it pretty clear they didn't really care for him - there's be no real reason for Zod to want to rescue him - but the edgelord haircut and facial appearance make it clear he's not the pre-FP Chris in either tone or aspect, much less apparent characterization.
And a turnabout during the story is just too predictable even for Jurgens. I assume he'll be gone within an issue or two.
There's so much more they could have done with them inside the Zone - such as revealing Chris with Mon-El or something else than what they did and having it last one issue is just an example of how rushed some of these things have been done (Multiplicity could have lasted 2 more issues, for example).

>Hitler's jaw didn't explode into blood mist when superman punches him
One job
>Optimistic in the face of darkness.
>Believes that mankind is inherently good but just needs a push in the right direction.
>Loving husband and a caring dad.
>At the end of the day is just a guy with great power who wants to do good.
How can one character be this based?
>>94279261
>And a turnabout during the story is just too predictable even for Jurgens.
Zod deserves to be cucked though. It's totally going to happen.

Sometimes I hate this "he's just a farmboy from Kansas who wants to do good" angle peolpe want to push to make him seem more relatable. YES, he is definitely that, but he's also more than that. He's a leader, an inspiration, he raises morale. Superman is a larger than life figure.
>>94279702
I forgot to say, Superman being a larger than life figure is essential to the character, otherwise you're just writing Peter Parker.

He's dead and he will stay dead.
Anyone have that scene where a bunch of young heroes are joking about how lame supes is, then have to rescue a bunch of civilians only to find they don't want to listen to them until supes shows up and inspires them to action?
I've seen it pop up once or twice but I never found out what it was from.
>>94277932
There are millions of white dues with slicked back black hair in the DC universe. How many people with bright blonde Robin Hood goatees are there walking around in the modern day? Hypocrisy level zero.
>>94279440
>deserves to be
He really should never have been 'captured' by Walker and be running around the DC Universe. So I would expect he'll lose but nothing terribly original or clever.
>>94279702
>>94279721
I think you inspire by your actions. So, making the choice to do good with your power set IS exactly what makes him inspirational.
Larger than life is just the same as being inspirational. I think 'strong personality' or 'larger than normal' aren't what I think of - that's someone who tries to ape what Superman is. Think of someone who feels the need to have gold plated toilets or to speak of themselves as having 'all the best words' or 'being smarter than anyone else' - I don't think either Clark or Superman has a strong personality or a personality that dominates everyone else in a room.
