AND FUCK UNCLE TONY
>>
Am I the only person who really liked that they made Spider-Man someone who grew up in a world where super heroes exist and is guided and mentored by them?

I'm sure there's tons of people who don't like Spider-Man.

Homecoming is the worst Spider-Man movie of all time though. Unless you are blind and don't care about the weight of responsibility being a part of the character. And if you don't mind pissing on Uncle Ben's grave during the rubble scene.
>>
>>94263996
No, I'm just one of the people who read the comics and feel like this is a bigger disgrace than Dragon Ball Evolution.
>>
>>94264234
>And if you don't mind pissing on Uncle Ben's grave during the rubble scene.
Wasn't just that. That scene pissed on everything If This Be My Destiny was about. It's a scene that describes Peter's motives, we see him torn between giving in and getting his Aunt's medication. Then we flashes of Peter's loved ones. It shows that his entire motive is to keep the few he has left safe. Which ultimately gives him the strength to lift the heavy thing because his strength comes from them.

In this movie? "Oh no! I wont be able to suck Tony's cock if I don't". Which is why that scene sums up everything wrong with Homecoming. This isn't a movie about Spider-Man.
>>

I know for a fact you didn't read that book. Because he met the Fantastic Four solely for him to get paid because he needed to help his Aunt with rent. Only for him to essentially tell them to fuck off when he realized they were non profit. Spider-Man was the first kid super hero to not have a mentor.

>Anyone of the trailers for Homecoming is better in everyway to the entirety of Evolution, it's not possible for the full movie to be so.
Different anon here.

Homecoming understand Spider-Man on a superficial level. That's why all the casuals thought it was great. They got their web-swinging and quips and bad guy of the week. There's more to it than that. Homecoming decided to change the fundamental elements of the character. In that respect, it's the same as Dragonball Evolution, if not worse for being a wolf in sheep's clothing.
>>
>>94267109
Never. Which is why this isn't a Spider-Man movie. Peter spent his /entire/ fucking high school career trying to figure out what great responsibility was.

So here's a though. DON'T ADAPT THIS MOMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE IF YOU'RE JUST GONNA MAKE HIM A PUSSY.

Quit being a retard for a second and stop defending the character when most complaints are about what's happening off camera.

More to the point his lack of experience to that point should have been what made this even more a test of his strength of character. This was the moment to show that he was spider MAN and they crapped it.
>>
>>94265385
>>94265518
This is bait, right? Did you miss the part where he lifted the building screaming "I am Spider-Man!" realizing he doesn't need Tony's cock in his mouth to be a super hero?
How do so many people ignore the entire premise of the movie? How are you all so fixated on Tony's dick that you can't see that it was about Peter not needing it, not the other way around.

>These "valid" points have also been refuted in past threads as well.

>>
>>94267173

He did it so he could prove himself to Papa Stark.

It had nothing to d with his age or Tony, seeing spiderman actually cry for help when he doesn't need it is stupid mother fucker can lift a damn tank and throw it why does he have trouble with rocks?
>>
>>94267168
He faced his mortality for the first, time, cried about it,but then he nutted the fuck up and lifted the rubble.

That was the test of character. The fact that he did it in the end.
>>
>>94267221
>Trying too hard now.
>>
>>94267173
The entire fucking movie was about Peter proving himself to Tony. Fuck off. He was trying to prove himself to Stark.

>>
>>94267252

That he cried at all is the problem.

go watch the Spectacular episode. There's a brief moment where Pete is ready to give up but then when he hears Gwen he realizes he's still needed and lifts the heavy machine off himself because he's Spiderman You can have your hero show human emotions but making him cry like a baby isn't heroic.

And Im not even saying he should never cry but save it for stuff like when Gwen Stacy dies or shit like that. There's a difference between looking human and looking like a bitch
>>
>>94267360
He tried his best, failed, thought he was going to die, and cried.

Then he found his inner strength, and succeeded.

And inner strength has been comic staple bullshit since the beginning so you can't go ragging on it for being in the movie.
>>
>>94267360
But he didn't, that was the point. That scene was him realizing he had the strength to do it himself, and he did.

>>94267361

Spectacular Spider-man had this happen after facing many lethal oponents- He faced his mortality.

Homecoming Spider-man did not. He was trapped and going to die a slow painful death. He's also a teenager. He doesn't have to bee heroic all the time, especially not when he sucks it up and does the heroic thing in the end.
>>
>>94267394
He didn't try his best, he made a complete rookie mistake and confronted Vulture out in the open like a dumbass, also where the fuck was his spider sense through all of this anyway? That scene wouldn't have happened if he was as smart as comic book peter.

It was technically bullying. Him being a bully is different from him being a competent bully.

Shut up. Spider man was always a teenager. In literally EVERY version of the story he was a teenager at some point. It's not an excuse.

You can say HE FACED HIS MORTALITY till you're blue in the face and it won't make the scene less retared because they shouldn't have adapted the scene if they weren't going to do it right. Save it for the sequel save it for Infinity.

And you're not getting the issue. This is a movie. He's not real. He didn't cry because of his mortality, he didn't cry because he was 15 he cried because they wanted him to cry and that was the wrong move.

>>
>>94267476
His best was making rookie mistakes. He's a rookie.

And his spider sense was what had him flipping around dodging the wings coming from behind before the building collapsed. Then the building collapsed and he had nowhere to dodge. What do you want, the screen to wiggle whenever spider sense activates?

Comic peter forgot that people don't react well to being suddenly stopped in freefall.
Confronting a villain who has remote control wings he didn't know about ranks a bit lower on the list of dumb mistakes.

He was completely submerged under water with the base leaking. What the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>94267917
>was close to death for the first time in his life
He was in danger way more than that when he meant shocker and almost drowned without Tonys help, 2nd he literally stopped a goddamn 3 ton vehicle going 40 miles per hour he shouldn't have had trouble with the rubble whatsoever
>>
>>94264574
umm what? captain America was around before spiderman, so was iron man.
>>
>>94267866
>Even if that was true, which it's not.

Ten tell me anon what is it? The Tony Stark dick sucking meme?
>>
>>94267944
I think they meant Chapter One which is full blown crap.
>>
>>94267914
>literally the middle tier
>>
>>94264883
Spider-man grew up with superheroes in his world, he was influenced by them, mentoring however you are right. I see your point of him being a hero by himself.
>>
>>94267281
how heavy is a boarding bridge to a plane? Not tank heavy but Pete is still growing.
>>
>>94268018
>Beat up Thing
>Beat up Hulk.
Seems unreliable.
>Black Bolt's text bubble is blank.
kek.
>>
>>94267973
Peter didn't bring them up or be inspired by them. Hell, he went to meet the Fantastic Four not out of hero worship but because he wanted money.
>>
>>94268072
It's measuring physical strength, not overall power.
Spider-man is a dex build, and dex builds trump strength builds.
>>
>>94267866
>Peter is completely selfish.

He's in a life and death situation you dipshit.

>>94267972
>2nd he literally stopped a goddamn 3 ton vehicle going 40 miles per hour he shouldn't have had trouble with the rubble whatsoever

Yes because he wasn't buried under a huge pile of rubble or anything right? More than sure it was way over 3 tons as well since he had to strain himself.
>>
>>94268036
>Spider-man grew up with superheroes in his world
He did in the comics too. But where this Peter loves them, the 616 teen Peter hated nearly all of them save for a few examples.
>>
>>94268090
>He's in a life and death situation you dipshit.
So is the one from the source material faggot.
>Yes because he wasn't buried under a huge pile of rubble or anything right? More than sure it was way over 3 tons as well since he had to strain himself.
How much do you think that boat weighs?
>>

Implying I wouldn't watch Andrew 'Yeah I would probably fuck a dude' Garfield destroy DeHaan's boipussy.
>>
>>94268018
>Tigra getting all thirsty for Peter.
What is it with him and cat girls?
>>
>>94267476
>rookie mistake
well shit anon it's almost like he's a FUCKING ROOKIE OR SOMETHING!
>>
>>94268092
More like they hated him and he responded in kind. Rumors just made spiderman look bad.
>>
>>94264234
>responsibility
Isn't the final act spurred by Peter ignoring Vulture's offer, and going after him even when he knows that the FBI would probably catch him later down the line?
>>
>>94263767
Valerian please, just because your movie flopped at the box office doesn't mean you have to lash out at the competition.
>>
>>94267927
>15 year old teen
>what is a character arc?
It also makes the ending scene with him declining the Avengers more poignant because of him realizing his shortcomings.
>>
>>94264137
That's honestly not saying much. The shit I just took is a better Spider-Man movie than anything after Spider-Man 2
>>
>>94268036
Eh... I guess, but in the comics he never behaved like a fanboy. He admired Cap, but when her first met him with the Avengers, he did not

Why do I keep coming into these threads? I hated this movie. I tried to hear why it's the best Spider-Man and all I hear is "It's true to the comics XD" which is a bald faced lie.
>>94265385
I mean.. even a cartoon for kids did it better.

>>
>>94268778
Because the people who did Spectacular actually cared about the comics and understood the meaning behind the scene.
>>
>>94268874
And to think the writers of Ultimate Spider-Man ragged on it for that very reason.

>emotionally trying
HoIy crap. By your posts he should've been crying every scene he flubbed up in. That's what 15 year olds do in real life. He should've cried at being yelled at by Stark. He should've been crying at nearly getting people killed (multiple times). He should've cried at being called Penis Parker at a social gathering in front of the girl he likes.
But wait... two of those scenes were played for Gits and shiggles. Obviously someone said "we NEED to have an emotional scene. But we don't really know Spider-Man outside of being jokey. Someone look up the top 10 emotional Spidey scenes!"
>>
>>94267519
>Flash
Flash was never a stereotypical "shove you in a locker, wedgie, Pound for a buck" bully in the comics until Ultimate. He was however, shown to be a meathead normie. I think most of his appearences early on were just going "Parker the bookworm sure is anti social, right gang?" The one good thing I'll say about muslim Flash is that he embodies that meatheadness. Not exactly in a jock, football player way. Just going out of his way to come up with crappy insults for this kid he singled out.

Even though the reality is he was bullying Peter the same way they did in the Hey Pretty Boy webcomic. Seriously. Penis Parker? Even in elementary you would be outted as "too homophobic to be straight."
>>
>>94265518
One of my favorite examples of 616 Peter being a fucking beast is the Shattered Dimensions game.
2099 and Ultimate have gauges to boost their fighting power, and Noir isn't too skilled in combat, so he goes stealth half the time.

Amazing doesn't have a gauge, and he fights head-on in every one of his levels. His Eight-Legged Fury attack is also the fastest and strongest of the four, leaving behind after images of his attacks like he did with Firelord way back when.

Don't fuck with 616 Peter.
Now if only slott was taken off the book.

If inner strength comes with a voice over of uncle tony, NO THANK U
>>
>>94268778
it's literally the same but with more exposition instead of whining
>>
>>94266891
>We'll never have that moment where its stated Peter becomes a juggernaut of confidence and will when he puts on the mask again.
>>
>>94267439
He's still absurdly strong.
He has to consciously struggle not to punch people's heads off when he fights.

Charlie The Death Seeker found that out the hard way.
>>
>>94269230
You know... it really says something when Toy Story 3 does that type of scene way better than a live action """kids""" movie.
>>
>>94268018
> Jen begging Peter to do her
> Jesus during that embarrassing year He did a Marvel comic "because the kids love that stuff"
>>
>>94267515

>This is a movie that needs to be taken somewhat seriously, not a fucking comic book

Im not sure what you watched but the comics are more serious than this try-hard bumbling idiot comedy film

Holy shit, what?

Its been canon for fucking DECADES that Peter's idol was Captain America.

Fuck this board, none of you know shit about comics.
>>
>>94268156
He's not, he did heroing way before Vukture hell he even goes silent to sneak up on the robbers
>>
>>94268348
Anon, you're talking to mouth breathers. I mean, in the scene with Glover he openly explains he's acting to prevent the neighbor from turning into a war zone, to avoid that people like Mexican Man get in harm's way because of those weapons but anons still go "wtf it's all abut Tony!!1!"
>>
We're forgetting that in ASM 33 he was 18, and had years of experience under his belt.

And a villain hadn't threatened to murder his fucking friends and family if he went after him, which is exactly what Spider-Man just did. I'm glad they went with the "rookie Spider-Man breaks down and loses his composure" as it fit better in the context of the film than if they had adapted it wholesale.
