They're probably not going to get together. Unless HW drastically changed her mind or something. The episode will probably be about exploring the dynamics of their relationship, and then using that as a way of examining Finn's character, like Varmints did for PB. HW could probably help Finn get over his current sadness, given she deals with it herself.

Do you guys think we'll get more on Jake's alien daddy? Or was that whole thing resolved in Abstract? I could see it going either way at this point.

as for HW I say they just go the Witcher route. While they go on their own adventures they run into each other on and off and go on epic quests and have romantic encounters but not really boyfriend girlfriend esque and are free to go off their own ways

All I'm hoping for is that they spend the episode interacting so that we can get a better feel for their chemistry. Flute Spell didn't really show that, Jake being there and the quest kind of made it so that Finn and HW couldn't have the banter I would have liked to see. All we really know about them is that Finn thinks HW is cool and she taught him some ascetic tips and HW really likes Finn's hair and thinks he's an exceptional beast.

I'd be happy if more would be done to show how their chemistry is, even if they don't get together. Just want more of a foundation to build on.

Also I'm still impressed by how Finn killing Fern was handled. Sad because I'm sure they're just gonna do what they did after Finn Sword died, with Finn ending in a real fucked state but then the next episode has him acting totally fine. I hope they eventually get back and cover that stuff.

It would piss off like a dozen /co/ denizens and that's mostly it. After FP fell through most AT fans are very content with Finn staying single. Probably an aspect of lots of fans being annoyed at the romance when it was shoved at the series' forefront.

Not because that Finn didn't get with either Marcelina or Bubblegum, but because the show be putting so much emphasis on their relationship whenever they're together on the same scene. It's one of my problems with Stakes (despite that I like that miniseries), not enough interactions between the starring characters altogether.
