Aquaman had a different backstory in the Golden Age. The "son of lighthouse keeper and Atlantean princess" origin comes from the late 50s. It'd still be easy to reconcile Clea with current Aquaman, as Clea is explicitly the ruler of an Atlantean outpost, not Atlantis itself.
