For all the screentime and cool moments she had, she never got a proper arc that deepened her character. She was just the "cool girl" and nothing more.

Even Soos and Pacifica got arcs.

Question about the Carpet Diem bodyswap:

While they were swapped, when Mabel was handling the room key to Dipper, he kicked his leg up like a girl, and later called Mabel "Dipper".
Was Dipper slowly losing his identity? Does staying swapped with someone cause a person to slowly turn into them? When they swap back, do they gain some traits of the person he/she swapped with?

Calling what Soos and Pacifica got "arcs" is a stretch. They got a few standout episodes that developed their characters a little, but which were never really followed up on, for the most part. And Wendy didn't even get that.

Honestly no one outside of Dipper, Mabel, and Stan really got proper arcs in the show, which is a damn shame.

I'd go further and argue that Mabel didn't really get an arc either. Almost nothing about her fundamentally changes over the course of the show.

Dipper at least learns to become more sociable and relaxed over the course of the show. Mabel was as obnoxious and selfish as she was at the beginning.
