This is a contender for top three best X-Men runs.
Good post, OP.
This one too. It's the Best Graphic Novel of 2013 (as voted by /co/).

This was the better event.
>>94236567
I am shocked someone can believe this
I was thinking about my favorite single issues the other day and I had a good one but now I can't remember it, damn. Anyway this series as a whole was incredible.

>I was thinking about my favorite single issues the other day and I had a good one but now I can't remember it
Any chance it was this one anon?
>>94236088
That poll was organized by a retard who miscategorized SO MUCH.
Anyways, posting my pick.
RIP in piece
>>94236088
/co/ has shit taste and Johnsfags need to shut up, it's OK if you like it, don't pretend it was good.

Russell was writing it. It was always going to be good.
>>94235965
Agreed. Astro City as a whole has always felt really under appreciated.

Wait, does 2010 count? Hold on, I might need to rethink my system...
Adventure of Superman (2014), issues ##46-48 - Strange Visitor, written by Joe Keatinge and with art by Ming Doyle and a collection of others, featuring Kamandi, Mxy and many more, collected as print edition 16, I believe and collected in the Vol. 3 trade with this self-same cover.
>>94241068
you're right
it's better than ASS
>>94236844
I can think of about a dozen plotholes and bad shit in Secret Wars off the cuff, but I can't really think of anything bad about forever evil other than "muh johns"
>>94234527
I like this one
>>94236352
This. Absolutely this. #10 especially.
>>94241068
It was good, but I don't think it belongs on the list.
>>94236017

Move aside,Watchmen.
>>94237020
i've never read any legion. is it worth getting into?
>>94234527
The entirety of Multiversity.
>>94241440
this, although I don't think it's Watchme levels it's still really fucking underrated
Move aside, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
>>94241279
Based on what some people are picking, I do think so. It needs to be an entire arc, but within the limits (as compared to say Pax or The Flintstones which ran two arcs), it's a worthy contender.
>These are the things I've done for my country...
This issue in particular for reaching and then going far past a level of bat-crap cray cray but the entire run of The Coming of the Supermen.
>>94235933
Truly the best.
>>94236567
>
Hickman's entire FF saga is better than that shit. Also just weird but today I learned Hickman used to hate the FF until he was given the assignment.
Then he took his time and read all the back issues, every single one of them and then write his stories.
If more writers did that with their characters instead of ignoring them then the world would be a much better place.
>>94242001
Eh, I didn't like The Just.
Last Look (X'ed Out, The Hive, Sugar Skull)
>>94241560
Art is a bit iffy in spots, but yeah, it's great.
>>94242717
It wouldn't make it based on the quality, not the length.
>>94239694
That's the Burn of the Decade, but not the comic of the decade.

honorable mention goes to prophet which was amazing front to back
unironically the best i've read in the last ten years
>>94245654
Have you only read Gwenpool and America the past ten years? It's a decent comic but seriously?
>>94245670
i only read some marvel and indie comics. sorry
>>94245688
what would be your top ten from the decade?
>>94242684
THIS

It's Moore's best work, hands down, fite me.
>>94245457
I'm happy that this is continuing finally at IDW
>>94241412
I like you, Anon. Definitely in my top 5.
Also the whole Blood of the Virgin arc, not just this particular issue of Crickets
>>94235385
No.
>>94248353
2.
>>94248451
Re-iterating in no particular order
3.
>>94248502
4. This issue, for the "Brief History of the Artform Known As Hortisculpture"
On the strength of the art/colours alone this is my #1.
Honourable mentions to Priest's Deathstroke, Giant Days, Gwenpool, Extremity and King's Omega Men.
I was following very little between 2010 and 2015ish (literally down to nothing but Swamp Thing at one point) so probably skewed towards the last few years a bit.
>>94248565
>>94248583
Was totally gonna post Papergirls, the art was wicked, indeed
So 5, then
>>94248854
6. Can't decide between this, EOTMC volumes 1 and 2 and Bright Eyed At Midnight
>>94248978
7. Can't believe I forgot one of the best fucking comics of all time
>>94249012
8. A collection but no less great for that
>>94249065
9.
>>94245308
great choice
>>94248978
that's my favorite book of last year, Leslie Stein is my indie creatorfu
>>94236567
>>94249155
It's time someone finally ripped Time Clock.
>>94234527
This, the only good 'reverse' comic I've ever read.
Also I've just realised it and I can't believe we're still in the same decade as all of New 52.
>>94249179
it's time more people support Fantagraphics books
>>94249121
Probably have to say this for the sheer balls
>>94249155
I like you! Yeah she's wicked. Time Clock was sooo good, I think actually it might be her best work. I'm so glad EOTMC got collected as the pamphlets are printed on fucking newsprint (covers too!) and so are a bit awkward to handle. Good to have 'em, though
>>94236567
Hah, I actually have an issue of this...legitimately do not understand it at all
>>94234527
Honest to god i think the best marvel book in a decade that was not The Vissions is Rage of Ultron. I'm a Pymfag but that book manages to clip at a great pace of action while still having some really great heart and even some philosophical arguements
>>94249262
Was going to post something like this but didn't want to seem salty...I think that it's important to support Fanta and by extension all alt cartoonists whose work you enjoy, it's not like most of 'em make a living through their comics even though they're at the fucking top of their respective field..it's nuts
Also have to say this (and volume 2). Great comic. I found out the other day that Zak Sally's working on a fucking Philip K. Dick biography! He's doing a Patreon for it, he's posted some stuff online already and it looks amazing, his idea for structuring the book is so, so good.
>>94249358
lol
Gillen's Journey into Mystery is better than both of those
>>94238586
>being cuddled by Wanda triplets.
Oh god yes
>>94249425
seriously like most of them still have full time jobs and just draw for hours everyday on top of it
also my pick is ITDN by Burkholder
>>94240291
Why is it that it wins so many eisners and yet no one on /co/ reads it? I mean /co/ loves Busiek
>>94249425
Oh yeah, that's a great one.
>>94242842
This is under rated
>>94244751
Hickman on FF was a perfect match
>>94249543
/co/ doesn't read comics without Batman
>>94249502
Andy Burkholder? Can't say I've read much by him desu. Who put it out?
>>94249569
Can't tell if sarcasm or not. Never met another Zak Sally fan on this board
>>94249592
Speaking of which
Batman and Elmer Fudd for best single issue of the century!
Rover red Charlie
>>94249614
Not sarcasm, but I only really have access to what's scanned so I've only read the first three issues(which I think makes up volume 1).
>>94249614
yeah, published by 2dcloud
I don't understand how there hasn't been more press on it
>>94249682
I hate you
>>94249736
Are you a Robin? Cause i think Batman hates you back
>>94249804
as a kid who grew up in the 90s, I know
>>94249425
Link me, brah, I would read another PKD bio. That man's life was a mess but in a fun way.
>>94249697
Holy fuck. Another Zak Sally reader, I'll be diddled. Not sure if volume 1 is still available, Sally printed that and published it himself, I bought 1 and 2 straight from him in a sort of Kickstarter-preorder deal, got a sweet signed screenprint of HG Feekes (the duck guy). It's weird that even altAnons don't talk about Zak Sally. He's great. I think the individual Fanta/coconino Press Sammy comics are pretty rare now, I saw #1 go for silly money on e-bay. I think I have either 1 and 2 or 2 and 3, I'll hafta check.
>>94249708
I can't say I've enjoyed much 2D cloud stuff. Dunno why. I can't think off the top of my head what Burkholder draws like, is he the guy with the really simple, controlled style who draws kind of blank faces?
>>94249893
Ranch me, mulatto
Nah seriously I will, gimme a sec mate
>>94249961
the only other thing I've read by them is I Don't Hate Your Guts because Van Sciver is really good
>>94250080
Ah, pretty sure it's who I was thinking of. Yeah Van Sciver is great. Did 2D Cloud put out Mimi and the Wolves (or maybe a different Alabaster comic?)?
>>94249893
Just go zaksally.com, first blog post there, man
>>94249155
>>94249266
She got a d+q book coming this year fyi, it's another strip collection like bright eyed
>>94248583
>>94248854
Is it really that good?
The cliffhanger in issue two kind of made me not like it and I haven't read it after that. I'm also not a fan of Saga.
>>94250455
I KNOW, right?! I saw on the D & Q blog, super excited! It actually looks like a journal, too. her simple style is sooo alluring
>>94250650
Yes. I don't really like "genre" comics but I enjoyed it a lot. Nowt like Saga. Saga started good but went a bit ropey...
>>94236352
do i need to read all of hellboy to read this? is there a hellboy reading order?
>>94241327
You have no taste. None.
>>94250771
Reading at least the main Hellboy books would be good.
http://www.multiversitycomics.com/annotations/hellboy-reading-order-2017/
Sunstone tbqh. And not for the sex and bdsm, that gets boring after a while. But Sejic made the characters very believable and you care for the characters. I think the highlight of the comic is the humor. It's one of the few comedy books that makes me put down the book cause i laugh so hard.
Maybe in top 100, not high but deserves on the list
>>94250811
Wow capeAnons are being fucking savage today, calm down lads
Surprised this hasn't been posted yet
>>94241374
Kot's Secret Avengers is better
Stray Bullets is still going on right? then that
>>94250994
Definitely.
Let's also not forget this one.
>>94249543
Busiek is pretty great. His Avengers run is still my favorite and I loved Thunderbolts when it started out. I think Trinity put a sour taste in a lot of people's mouths, that shit was pretty fucking terrible. Was pleasantly surprised when I started reading Astro City and found he could still write well.
I'm a fan of this guy's work.
Also, I'm not saying this is anywhere near some of the best stuff of the decade, especially with only 4 issues out, but damn is it good, and the back matter is just top notch.
>>94250726
Paper Girls is ongoing. Stop talking in past tense about it.
>>94250842
Thanks
>>94242791
That comic is a fever dream like most stuff Adams writes now and was definitely a blast to storytime, but I wouldn't call it one of the best of the decade.
>>94250966
Love me some Manu Larcenet. Blast is wicked, you read Ordinary Victories?
>>94251136
I got Sticks Angelica a while back, a return to film from the awful Big Kids.
>>94251288
You're being pedantic for the sake of it.
>>94251483
I'll take look at Ordinary victories
Blast quickly became one of my all time favorite comics so I'll take a look at anything written by Manu
>>94251454
Sexy. But is it good?
>>94251454
idk what this is but I'm turned on
also The Unwritten is the most underrated book
>>94251923
>>94251968
it's desperate housewives meets invincible, some nods to marvel and DC. art could be better but it's good.
>>94251874
It's utterly different, quiet autobio. Good, though.
>>94252024
>desperate housewives meets invincible
well now I'm interested
>>94252024
>>94252122
someone needs to storytime this madness
Somebody already beat me to Love Bunglers, Copra and Ant Colony so have some Transformers vs GI Joe as done by Tom Scioli channeling Jack Kirby.
>>94252230
ya know i don't know jack shit about transformers or gi joe because i always thought 80s cartoons were dumb but i picked this up when i saw the artwork and its so fucking bonkers and crazy i enjoyed despite having no knowledge of either franchise
>>94252293
I only have the most minor level of knowledge of both franchises but after reading this, I'm watching Transformers: G1 and reading Larry Hama's GI Joe comics to better appreciate the Scioli book, which apparently has hundreds of Easter eggs for fans.
>>94241440
My favorite King story. It made me like Kyle Rayner.
>>94242684
>>94242728
Definitely these two. Fury: My War Gone By is a masterpiece.
