Pearl has become way better at asserting herself(Back to the Barn, That Will Be All,) and seems to be starting to get over Rose(yes Mystery Girl is big and has pink hair. I think the biggest problem is that the Crystal Gems aren't much of a group anymore. Early in the show, they were always together fighting monsters of the week. Nowadays, we only get all four of them working together a few times each season.
