Marvel's huge in america

America has a shitty distribution system.
That's why there's so much superheroes, the medium has completely degenerated to the point of no return.

>Iceland cares more about Donald Duck than the Americans

So does most of western Europe.
Donald Duck is the iconic Disney property.

They're sold at newsagents, supermarkets and bookshops.

And advertised in national television. Not sure why, I assume for same reasons Coka Cola does it.

Shit, you're right.

>Donald Duck
>Not Aku Ankka

You have to look at the local competition. Many countries don't have a big comics industry, which makes it easier for Disney to get its foot in the door. You don't hear much about French and British Disney comics because they already have a substantial comics output of their own. Likewise, even though Disney is a U.S. company, Disney has more competition in North America. Or at least they used to, before they bought everyone else.

Because Europe got cool more risky stories with Mickey while America was stuck with Rich Conservative Duck wank
>>
>>94223186
I have yet to meet someone who prefers Mickey over Donald or Scrooge.
>>
>>94218545
american only care about capeshit.
>>
>>94223297
More or less.
>>
Because here in America we had theaters and TV for watching animated shorts, and europoors didn't, so they had to resort to comic books for entertainment. That's why shit like Asterix is huge over there and the rest of the world doesn't give a damn.
