ITT: Good Characters in bad shows

I always felt like they needed a third, a junior mad scientist or something, to counter Sashi and round out the dynamic.

Honestly all the characters in that show're good, the plots are just SUPER safe. I think every season 2 episode has been going back to an old world.

I couldn't stand the main characters for the most part, Boon especially was godawful. But I think the shows biggest problem is that it's wasted potential: the show. A premise of traveling the multiverse is a neat idea that could lead to countless scenarios of unimaginable creativity, yet all they do with it is create a handful of generic worlds and go back to them every few episodes. It's like Kingdom Hearts, but without the Disney worlds that already have a ton of inherent worldbuilding put into it or the insane overarching plot. It just doesn't have a lot of heart put into it. If it was more like Wander Over Yonder or even Space Dandy it could've been fun.

That is the opposite of true. The fact there were recurring villians in a show that should have been about a boy going to multiple different worlds to deal with problems and of them and learn and gore as a person was what ruined the premise.

Let's be honest. There are SO many fun villains that are wasted on shit shows and terrible movies. Why is it so easy to create great evil characters yet so difficult to create fun hero characters for them to interact with?

Yeah, I think all of the posted characters so far are villains.

Evil characters have a wider range of things they're "allowed" to do. Evil characters can do immoral things, which is funny, but they can also have a secret love for cute things like puppies or something, which can also be funny.
Heroes have a much smaller range of things they're allowed to do, which narrows down the possible character traits you could give them, and scenarios you could place them in. Of course a masterful writer could circumvent these problems, but it's still harder than writing villains.

Rippen mentions he ha a more successful sister. Maybe someday she will appear and be the counter to Sashi.

I'm ashamed to say that this is my favorite female cartoon character, because the show she's from is awful, but she's hilarious.
