The difference is that ATHF is a well written show while Rick and Morty is a fad. It's been getting more and more fans, and all those brain-dead meme making normie fucks have been waiting for season 3 for so long, making so many repetitive memes about waiting for it that it can't POSSIBLY be as good as they hope. Harmon and Roiland have been having some serious creative differences, plus it's fairly obvious that they're starting to run out of ideas. Season 3 is going to come, everyone's going to blow their collective load at s3e2, and after whatever episode is LE PICKLE RIIIIIICK they'll slowly lose interest and viewership. Harmon and Roiland will fall apart leading to a 6-8 episode season 4 and that'll be where the show sputters and dies; and adult swim will go on as usual with new seasons of Robot Chicken and Squidbillies, along with their true best show(Venture Bros) coming along every two years.
