Batman won because at the end of the universe he refused to kill, he didn't shot to kill, he was being AR archetype, he was in front of. A God and still tried to save the human host, he wast sent back in time where he build his own fucking Legends and at the edge of time when the hyperfauna dragon tried to turn him into a monster, and faced Darkseid victory he just dragged said monster to the present where instead of ultimate evil it would become just another monster and could be defeated in the age of heroes.


Batman and Superman stories were the same, the whole point of superman beyond and the bat saga was how those ideas and archetypes are bigger than power level bullshit, and in the case of Darkseid, bigger than totalitarian evil.

Thanos is just some powerful guy, and the living concepts in marvel are just tiny universal personifications of concepts instead of self-setient ideas like in DC.
