Is anyone else annoyed that Metal seemed to have become this huge event when it was initially hyped as quite a small, contained, artist-first thing spinning off a limited imprint?

I actually like the look of some of the imprint books - I'm definitely there for the Rocafort one - but apparently the signature artists are only signed for 3 issues? And the more emphasis put on this on mainline DC the less interested I am in looking at the spin-offs, because I'm looking for something different.

This whole event is reminding me of the bad old days of DC which I had kind of thought was on a different course with Rebirth.
