I don't think that Skids will come back to life.

I think at most they will be able to talk to him (and maybe he talks a little about what had behind the portal he went through). The question will be for him to have a closure, not even OP # 9.

Candid conversation with a couple of Hasbro execs at SDCC last week. They aren't happy with the IDW comics. At all. They aren't worried about the shit sales. It's the story content and the creators backstabbing and feuding like they were contestants on IDW's Game of Thrones.

They're giving them til the Unicron crossover event next Spring to right their ship, or else they will demand a line wide reboot or just allow the licenses to expire across the board. Other publishers are seeking in them out about the license and their proposals are starting to look good.
