>>
>>94165452
You want to make your own webcomic, by studying the ones that suck?
I think there might be some flaws with your plan, anon.
>>
>>94165789

No, studying from the advice of experts. However, it really helps to see what NOT to do.

So far, the experts have taught me that the field is over-saturated so competition is pretty much everywhere and as intense as it gets. Also, it takes around 6yrs to start producing quality content. And I need to make sure to have several comics done ahead of time.

So, hopefully you'll see my work sometime around 2012 (if everything goes perfectly).

Floraverse

Because it's a clusterfuck.
>>
Unsounded, it just went on way too long. That's something I've noticed with a lot of online stories, people just don't know when to end them.

Paranatural

Art style degraded into something that fits alongside Adventure Time/Gumball.
Colour saturation decreased from vibrant to pastel.
Detailed backgrounds slowly faded into nothing but pastel colours due to him getting lazy.
Pacing that makes Namek feel fast and that crams core plot scenes together instead of spreading them out.
The more recent pages have just been clusterfuck nightmares to view with their paneling. Zack is a fucking hack.

>>94167000
I'm sorry but that's a retarded criticism to aim at Unsounded. It's not even that slow-paced for a comic.

Some, like Sinfest, started to suck, and kept right on sucking. Others, like 8-bit Theater, actually finished, so there's no need to check on them again. And then you have some which also finished and then died anyway. I guess you don't need to keep a website up if you completed your tale 3 years ago and don't intend to start a new one.

I do. I got suckered in by the /co/ characters until I realized the stories were shit. Then I heard he did loli right as I was starting to move into dangerous territory until I stopped that train from splattering me. Honestly, that soup.io blog I run is probably the reason I'm as sane as I am now, autism aside.

I always post this in old webcomic threads, but there used to be a webcomic called 'cloud ten' or some other pun on 'cloud nine' about a high school girl adoptee who took a journey inside her own subconscious with an angel. It had pencil art, similar to megatokyo.

it vanished at some point, unfinished. if anyone knows where I could read that, I'd like to give it another read.

Strong Female Protagonist.

The sjw stuff was there, but it was tolerable. But after a while it seemed like the message of the comic turned in to "every straight white male is an asshole".

Not just AOL. No one here will ever read the comic I made with my friend in high school about the adventures of Unfougwa, the armless space samurai fighting his nemesis, the evil machinegunfingers.

And I don't even mean that in a "these are so bad that no one can ever see them" sense. They're literally gone forever.

I remember a webcomic I used to read. A friend in college showed me it and I've never been able to find it again. It was about a DJ in a goth club spinning tracks. There was a sort of hunchback character and a evil female DJ (that seduces him at one point) as well. I remember a Halloween strip where he dressed up as Han Solo and missed a chance to chat up a girl dressed up as Leia.

I think the name was something like cyanide and cookies or cockroach cookies. Ring a bell for anyone?

Life in Aggro. I stopped reading when it started becoming a soapbox for Bear, one of the creators of the comic, to use to vent about his depression and his transition into a woman.

Ironically, I was getting annoyed with comic long before that, but over the writers lack of transparency. Bear and Pie inserted themselves into every comic, wrote a blog entry for nearly each one detailing their latest gaming experiences, but never once explained what their relationship was. Boyfriend and girlfriend? Married? Then they randomly introduced a third character (pic related) whose name is almost never stated but seems to live with them, and never explain what her relationship is to them, either.

But devoting several comics to Bear's transition misadventures? Sure.

Do you remember the actual name of it? Was it actually 'cloud ten' or am I misremembering?

I've been looking for this comic for so long it's become something of a holy grail. I think I could remember the name with certainty I could use the wayback machine or something similar. I know it's not gonna live up to my expectations but it's an itch I just have to scratch.
