Superman's body is relatively normal, only a few times stronger and more durable than a regular human, better healing and shit, etc.. most of his defense comes from a personal force field that only comes into play when he's going to be damaged. You can still poke his skin and it will feel soft. you can cut his hair. you just can't yank on a hair or the field will go into place and the hair will be unremovable.
