It's the best inhumans book since the push started, and Ewing is following up on a lot of dropped plotpoints from past inhumans books aswell as Marvel Boy. Plex is back, RonanxCrystal gets resolved, the Universal Inhumans are going to be making an appearance, and that Skyspear plot thread from All-new Inhumans is getting addressed.

Of course, it's a Ewing book, so it'll probably get cancelled prematurely, but it'll be a fun ride while it lasts.

Then when they went back to Hala and finally started to rebuild and get a semblance of stability again, the Builder War happened and started tearing through them again. He used Bolt, Maximus, Ahura and Triton. He resurrected Karnak to set-up his own series. Crystal and Gorgon were in the main cast of All-New Inhumans, that's why Soule didn't feature them in UI prominently. Luna also made an appearance in ANI.
So I'd say that all of the core members of the Royal Family were utilized in that era of stories.

They were around but not by Soule. Karnak was revived for his solo. Crystal was gone until her and Gorgon could be shipped off to ANI with a different writer. Black Bolt barely did anything after the first arc. The bar only existed to keep him away and setup Reader plots, Black Bolt was disabled at the start of every fight. Maximus was unavoidable otherwise he would need to make more villains every arc. Ahura is basically a blank slate so Soule got to treat as his own give him powers and shit to do. Of course he still sent Ahura off to Eunilux until the plot needed him.

Which begs the question on why did they let the terrigen cloud fly around in the first place and it also makes the Inhumans even bigger villians/douchebags. Originally when Quicksilver was depowered cause of Scarlet Witch and went on his Terrigen binge people said that was elseworlds and non-canon in the current 616 verse. Then the cloud comes and people start referring to the terrigen theft incident with Quicksliver (when Deadpool/Unity Squad break into a facility studying Terrigen). So Black Bolt and Medusa would have known that it has negative effects on mutants and they let it go because "muh culture". If it didn't kill mutants like cancer+AIDS and did it the old way, Earth would be fucked six ways from Sunday. Imagine if a third of the worlds mutants went supernova with their powers all at once from Terrigen exposure, especially the psychics and energy generators. Because they needed the cloud to go around the globe and create as many Inhumans as possible. It's a preparation for some unknown threat, that was not revealed to this day. It is connected to Skyspears, and considering that Ewing said he would address what they are in Royals, he might reveal the unknown threat as well.
One would guess that Inhumans are the only ones, who can combat it, because otherwise boosting Inhumans' numbers and diminishing the number of mutants doesn't seem like a logical way to protect the planet.

Well, that's because of some instances of characters repeating what other characters said in Batman.
I don't agree with the comparison, because in King's case the dialogues where the repetition takes places weren't empty and weren't just there to fill up the page with verbal diarrhea. It felt like there was meaning behind repetition. That being said at least I understand why the comparison of King to Bendis was being made.
