Yes.
I can imagine I am watching the justice league cartoon again.

no, I hate Whedon
>>
>>94130423
But they are completely different. Snyder and Goyer would never be able to do.something on the e level as JL and JLA.

I am going to drink a lot of whiskey before I go into the theater.
You cant stop me from reliving my childhood.

Also, is there any place where I can watch JL online?

It'd be more entertaining than BvS and Man of Steel for sure.

I just hope they don't ruin Wonder Woman.
>>
>>94130403
Yes, I've enjoyed MoS and BvS and Whedon can't derail most of the movie snce he only did some of Snyder's assigned reshoots.

I really don't see how this couldn't be anything less than another Suicide Squad level mess.

>a 250 million dollar, CGI heavy movie can't have 25 million in reshoots
I'm amazed that you think this isn't possible. We know for a fact that Whedon has been apart of this since March.

>In an interview with Variety at the LA premiere of Wonder Woman, producer Charles Roven confirmed that Whedon was already involved in the post-production of Justice League before agreeing to take over for Snyder. It looks like Whedon was brought on for photography and direction for a few re-shoots, but other reports suggest he’s been doing some writing for those scenes as well, sharpening some of Snyder’s dialogue.

>“We were saddened by the events that caused Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder to have to leave and turn the reins over to Joss Whedon,” Roven said. “He was already working with us on some of the scenes for the additional photography that we’re gonna be doing shortly, and it was fortunate that Zack convinced him, and he agreed to step in and finish the movie, help Zack finish his vision, and we’re excited about that.”
>>
>>94130403

Somewhat.

Then again, the last time they tried to advertise a more conventional, quippy superhero movie we got fucking Suicide Squad.
>>
>>94130475
They really arent even that different desu.

>both have beareded aquaman
>both universes featured grrizzled batman who quit due to losing a robin (even if their timelines are different)
>both universes have Flash as a source of comedy (albeit two very different kinds of comedy)
>both universes involve an invasion from alien forces causing the creation of the JL
>both universes have a superman that is much weaker than his comic counter park
>both universes have shown a Superman brainwashed by Darkseid after the death of Lois
>both universes have used Flash time traveling
>both universes have invasions from Darkseid/Apokolipse
>both universes are pushing Batman/WW ship

the only real differences are the cast being a bit smaller, and Cyborg instead of MM. And of course WW being over 100 years old/the entire motivation of the Amazonians.

Too much bullshit surrounds JL at this point, I have no faith in it. For now, it looks like Suicide Squad 2.0.
>>
>>94130403
Disney is kicking their shill machine into overdrive again I see.

Closer to JL's release we'll start seeing articles criticizing Aquaman, talking about how problematic it is or how there is a bunch of drama on the set, a bunch of sky is falling articles will say someone told them it was "a mess" (they always use this exact phrase.)
As the movie gets closer to release fhey'll talk about impossible amounts of reshoots and more and more articles will talk about how bad it looks. Then the movie will come out, be good, make around 800 million dollars and they'll start attacking the Captain Marvel.

This happens every time. Disney has a script and they stick to it.

I've had it quoted to me that shooting costs like, 10k an hour on a union set. So for a slightly longer than average day that's like, 100k a day. Assuming only average days and breaking for weekends that's still a million a week.

Since I doubt they're doing six months of reshoots they need to be doing something fucking expensive and resource heavy in these reshoots. This means either completely redoing some of the VFX or building a large number of heavy and involved props.

Dunno

For all the shit they got (and deserved) MoS, BvS and SS actually had good trailers that got me excited about shit (bar when Doomsday got in). With JL i feel absolutely nothing, all i see is an uninspired series of action setpieces with a few jokes here and there. I'm curious about the characters, but i don't really care about any of them except arguably Supes, which they'll mostly hide since they still want to act like it's a big surprise that he comes back. Villain looks boring

It might turn out good, but I'm at a loss right now. Only relief is that with Whedon on board the editing and thus how the plot is presented might be better handled than with BvS

Dawn of the Dead and 300 were fairly rated. Watchmen was iffy because it had its up and downs. He's no god and he's not the worst director ever. He excels at the technical parts of filmmaking and struggles connecting audiences to his characters without a really good script.

Cons:
The Costumes are unfortunate, Flash and Uncanny Cyborg particularly.
The acting ability of the main cast is highly suspect, Gadot was carried, Mamoa is a dudebro level actor, Affleck wishes he had Clooney's talent and he's clearly a mess.
Like the Wonder Woman movie, there's been no sign of a compelling villain, historically a DC thing.
The bad taste left from the last DC teamup movie
Pros:
Snyder can put together some solid mythical battle moments, and Whedon can create team moments that connect with audiences. A combo of their strengths MIGHT be impressive.
While Whedon doesn't bring out Oscar-bait performances from actors, his loose, engaging style pleases people in the seats.
People have serious member-berries for the Superfriends and the Justice League cartoons.
The Wonder Woman movie has generated positive buzz for the DCEU at last.

At the end of the day, I just do not know.

But if your opinion of SS is that high because "the average Joe liked it" then you must think Iron Man 3 is one of the best movies of all time.

Let's be honest here, We all know better that it isn't Disney doing the disinfo but clickbaiting journalist trying to create news. DC movies, specifically Batman attracts the most eyes and has the most exciting production to keep up to date with. Ben Affleck & Matt Reeves can't promote their current movies without the press pestering them for scoops regarding The Batman movie. What better way to generate news than to create bullshit followed by another article clarifying if said bullshit was true or not.

The best part of this is that they'll never get called out for it because of plausible copouts such as "Well my sources must've seen a different version before the reshoots" or "I've must've seen only the post processed version"

Considering how much money it costed in production (apparently less than Spider-Maguire 2 or 3), it's not that surprising. Even then, both of these movies have no excuse when ANTS used even less and did a lot of amazing CGI shots.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller got fired from the Han Solo movie after filming some 80% of the movie because Disney didn't like them improvising lines instead of following the screenplay religiously. They brought in Ron Howard to do massive reshoots and finish the movie. That's much worse than what's going on with this movie.

On a different note, a new director was brought in to do reshoots on Rogue One while Disney sidelined Gareth Edwards.

They won't do it for these two reasons
a) Affleck is a great actor
b) You're wrong about recasting. A Spider-Man movie is going to fall behind a Wonder Woman one as we speak, and it's because the recasts and the reboots
c) Just look at the coverage a non-sensical unsourced, anonymous rumour about reshoots "confirmed" by magical insiders who magically know how much the reshoots cost is getting it's hard to know the full budget of a movie for real, literally only the producers know if the reshoots costed 25 million or 25 grand. That would be PR nightmare and I don't even think it's a smear campaign anymore, after being in these threads in /co/ and reading yotube comments I just think the MCU fanbase is so awful that they are going to push whatever bullshit they can even if it doesn't make sense, so these guys see easy clicks in there and just make shit up

>A Spider-Man movie is going to fall behind a Wonder Woman one as we speak, and it's because the recasts and the reboots

Regardless of what /co/ likes to meme, Spider-Man isn't anywhere near as popular as Batman. Batman is on his own level, everyone else is below that. As long as you make a good movie with Batman in it, people are going to flock to see it regardless of which actor is behind the cowl. He's like James Bond at this point, the actor doesn't really mean shit, it's the character people go see. No one is going to see these movies to see Ben Affleck.

>threads in /co/ and reading yotube comments I just think the MCU fanbase is so awful

While the MCU fanbase is mind bogglingly faggoty with the company wars, it goes both ways. I like movies if they're good, regardless of what company makes them. I lean more towards a DC fan since it's what I grew up with, but the optics of their universe is fucking abysmal. Wonder Woman band-aided it for now, but if Justice League is just as derided as all of Snyder's other movies, I wouldn't count on Affleck sticking around. He's been embarrassed enough and probably regrets taking on the role. I hope it turns out good, but a new director with the complete opposite style of the first director coming in with 3 months until release with a fresh from rehab Affleck and a mustache Cavill isn't exactly easing my mind.

Go to bed anon, I'm sure it was something about negotiations that some clickbait guy took out of context. The fact remains, Reeves didn't leave the DCEU and the rumours were fake news, like 95% of the ones getting threads here including this one

But I hate Marvel and Batman is my favorite character.

Reeves wanted full control and WB didn't want to give it to him, so he left. Then WB realized the optics of losing yet another director was bad for them, so they caved and told him he had last say on all things Batman. I don't know why you're so defensive about it, it's not like it's a slanderous story to defame DC. It's pretty standard negotiating tactics.

You and the faggot that started this rumor has not the slightest grasp of what goes on in Tinsel Town. You're not some Hollywood accountant bigshot because you look up Box Office Mojo and Rotten Tomatoes. For all the fuck anyone knows, this negotiation could've transpired through cellphone conversation. What was more likely that it was reported there were "talks" and seeing that Batman movies generate clicks, and the news was running dry, so journos took it upon themselves to create fabrications to capitalize on the superhero movie craze.

>I don't know why you're so defensive about it, it's not like it's a slanderous story to defame DC.
Because this is the umpteenth time there has been this effort to create some retarded buzz. Last time it was Wonder Woman getting 300k while Male actors like Henry Cavil and Affleck were getting paid in gold pressed latium. Frankly, I'm just tired of seeing articles shit posted here every time a cameraman farts on the set when most of the time it's literally Nothing.

Any movie that requires extensive reshoots is bound to be shit. Reshoots mean that they couldn't do what they wanted and had to compromise somewhere on something that is probably pretty important.

http://comicbook.com/marvel/2017/07/05/thor-ragnarok-reshoots-atlanta/
Ragnarok is going under reshoots right now, yet I heard nobody making it an enormous deal.
>>
>>94146955
Marvel has a good track record. I only know of SS having had reshoots and that movie wasn't good.

although I think the reshoots are just character stuff that they asked Whedon to add or refine since he's better at that than Snyder.
>>
>>94147001
Nah, real answer is no one gives a fuck about Thor.
>>
>>94133005
Wonder Woman is the Flash?
>>
>>94146955
Ragnarok actually finished its mere 3 week reshoots the other day.

JL has spent over 25 million and is still shooting 2 months after starting.

theres a reason people are making a big deal about it
>>
>>94147147
It's not been shooting for two consecutive months. If you read the article, they had to juggle with Ezra, Henry and Jason's schedules. They've been filming other stuff.
>>
>>94133083
I don't even understand why it's necessary for Spider-Man to be CG in this shot.
>>
I've lost my last tiny sliver of hope for this when they replaced Snyder with Whedon. The DCEU died with Suicide Squad, they're just allowing Whedon to piss on its grave for good measure.
>>
>>94147147
>JL has spent over 25 million
>according to our insider sources
>>
>>94146955
Because their history with reshoots isn't too bad, CW had some, added the woman that confronted Tony and cut out Panther and Widow talking apparently. Basically fixing some of the flow and redundancy. Whereas SS went through reshoots and either it was already a shit script to begin with or they made it worse, more importantly is whether it was done in reaction to either BvS's reviews, or the reaction to the supposedly more "fun" trailer.

So circling back tor Ragnarok, the reaction to both trailers now has been enormously positive. And I don't think they're concerned with any reaction to GotG 2 or Spider-Man so the reshoots are likely just touching up narrative flow or some such like CW. Also with such enormous casts, some actors can't make the schedules as they also make other movies and stuff.
>>
>>94147236
And yet Wonder Woman was their best movie.
>>
>>94130403
It probably not as bad as every one will.make it out to be but in the end just more generic forgettable capeshit like the rest of the movies.
>>
>>94130403
I'm more excited for the MLP movie then for any capeshit thing.
>>
>>94147253

>>
>>94130403
It'll be good in its own way, but of course /co/ will sperg out against it for being "not muh".
>>
>>94147272
Yes. Hopefully it'll revive theatrical 2D animation. But probably nobody will give a shit cause it's not Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks.
>>
It's too late. we got a fucking Civil War movie before Justice League. No matter what JL does right, people will see it as an avengers ripoff. Whedon being slapped on it doesn't help with that perception.
>>
>>94147241
>Because their history with reshoots isn't too bad, CW had some
According to Feige, all of their movies have reshoots. I remember Dan Harmon being brought to add quips for Strange.
>some actors can't make the schedules
Which is happening with these rumored reshoots, the actors' schedules are busy.
>>
>>94146955
>ragnarok is going through reshoots just as JL
Smeat campaign confirmed
>>
>>94147253
No, that would be BvS. Wonder Woman just had the best reddit tomatoes score.
>>
>>94147354
>he likes BvS over MoS and WW
Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
>>
The Steppenwolf actor has stated, that all of his scene happened in front of a green screen. He was never wearing any armor, so that's CGI as well. And on top of that he was never even in the same room with the hero actors.

So no, I don't have any hopes for that movie. I'm looking forward to the Flash spinoff though, although I would prefer if the actor was blonde.
>>
>>94147389
in the few brief scenes you can see the actor's face it looks completely cgi too, since they likely had to scale it up to fit the ~8 foot tall body. at least he's a pretty good actor i guess
>>
>>94147371
MoS was good but BvS was better. Wonder Woman wasn't bad but it just doesn't hold up to the others. BvS had every aspect of it done perfectly.
>>
>>94147423
>perfectly

>This is clickbait, come on, CGI-ing away Cavill's moustache? 25 millions on reshoots?

I like how Paramount said "well, we could shave Henry's moustache and then CGI it back in for closeups and use a convincing pasteon for long shots, but hey, you're a rival studio so we want to see you fail at the box office."

Real spirit of camaraderie there.
>>
>>94147560
Not their fault WB wanted extensive reshoots. They shouldn't have to paste a caterpillar on Cavill's upper lip to accommodate a rival studio's post-production.
