Ironically Japan seeing the european armies in action, seeing old rivals drop everything to fight together against china had a huge influence in convincing Japan that they were next on the menu, and that they were never going to get a fair shake in trade unless they had guns to back it up.

Mel Blanc did the dwarfs). Bob Clampett wanted to use an all-black band for the music, but Leon Schlesinger made him use Warner's in-house band for cost reasons. Clampett did get a black trumpet player to do the sounds for the Prince's kiss.

It's poor people food, and southern food. Deep frying is a method to make cheap low quality food tastier, and chicken is one of the cheaper meats available in america. And watermelon is a fruit that's in season and best enjoyed in hot weather, and so popular in the south. Makes sense that these two things would be well loved in black peasant culture.
