Oh I do agree, having characters whose personalities are just being fat can be annoying, and I love how Ana brings little to no attention to it. But I think that's an inherent writing problem if anything. It's difficult to write multiple complex personalities so a lot of the time characters rarely stray away from their labels. There are a ton of examples of characters just being "the goth" or "the dumb blonde" or "the punk rocker", etc.
