I don't think Spider-Man "coming back to Marvel" was ever going to be the sole fix. You need good directors (and so much more) coming together to make any movie good. Raimi-Man 1 and 2 were great. 3 got destroyed by executive meddling. ASM were bad because Sony learned nothing since, but also lost Raimi's artistry. Homecoming is a step up, but Marvel being able to put their hands on this property wasn't the total triumph many people were expecting, or at least, I don't think so. But this is slightly off-topic, so excuse me for rambling.

Overall, it seems to be doing better than Amazing 2 did. By the end of its run, it'll probably be more successful than Amazing 1. I wouldn't count on it surpassing Raimi-Man, though.

Im sure the movie is fine but I didn't like that Iron Man was in it and it REALLY looked cheap (even though its budget was pretty high).
I didn't see it. I'll probably catch it on tv later on.

I liked GotG1 (and it seems like a lot of people enjoyed it too)...but did they really think GotG2 was going to make more than a bill?? Thats really shooting the moon on that one.
