If something like that does happen I'd bet good money that Ghost will survive the movie, end up on the Thunderbolts where her character can be expanded on, and have the conspiracy stuff introduced there. And that's assuming there aren't some nods to it in this, which I expect there will be even if it isn't the focus of the character.
