Which is the thing, Genndy went all in and balls deep on undoing the future except for his waifu, but forgot to actually keep the fucking past designs consistent. Everyone looks nothing like they used to, whole characters got forgotten, shit doesn't add up. This isn't the past we were meant to get back to.
