This was one of the things I disliked about the later seasons of the show. Arnold went from being a relatively average kid with a good head on his shoulders to some kind of saintly, Christ-like figure with all the answers to every problem in the city, and the show's antagonists became accordingly diabolical. This extended to Lila, with the fact that she didn't like Arnold being treated as some great injustice that Arnold was being made to suffer through for no reason.

agreed, similarly I'm not a fan of the style Helga supposedly has in The Patakis proposal, it's just really bland and generic(seriously most "The Patakis" fanart I see has Helga dress like a random background character not a show's main character), personally I always felt Helga as a teen would evolve her style in one of three ways(possibly even alternating between two or even all three of them over time);

1.) a more feminine and fashionable style(Helga might not be as rich as Rhonda but her family has enough money that Helga could give her some stiff competition if she bothered)
