You people have no sense of fate. Jack's whole experience is that of a tragic hero. His journey was set by the Gods. Hence Ashi vanishing on his wedding night.

The series should have been about Jack and one of the Scotsman's daughters teaming up with Jack while trying to solve his problem, defeating Aku in the final battle and learning that he and Aku are now connected together by fate with Aku swearing that someday he'll be free once more so Jack becomes the immortal guardian protector like the original giant blue guardian with red sunglasses foresaw in the portal

While I don't completely hate Ashi she didn't have to exist, the cult story could have stayed the same with Jack defeating all the sisters, the followers, and fighting the mother

The ending overall felt rushed in those last 6 minutes with Ashi "discovering" her powers and being able to make a portal with her screech really REALLY pissed me off and felt like a cop out, they just wanted to end the series and didn't care how it was done which is why even now I'm pissed in such a low quality thread

The cardinal sin this season committed was stealing the ending from Gurren Lagann.

Aside from that it was fine. Some fucking ace fight-scenes, in the first 3 episodes especially. Scaramouche is my waifu.
