I don't believe Poppy has been dating Kit JUST so Kit will take care of Lily, though that is a very large part of it. Poppy does care about Kit, just when you say it out loud, this issue ( and likely Kit dating Poppy since she's one of the few things she can see), is something that has to be address because understanding why someone is dating you for reasons that aren't simply "true love" is important for a relationship
to grow.

I honestly have no idea how much longer this chapter is gonna be.

We need to rescue/attempt to rescue Charlie, deal with Chicadino cause there's no way in hell he's gonna be able to walk away from this, deal with what's going to happen to Friedrich because I doubt it's gonna be as simple as "stab Chicadino, problem solved", and now we have Kit and Poppy coming to a crossroads in their relationship, not to mention Kit could be walking to her death if she attemtps to contact Friedrich and he decides she needs to die.
