My only experience with Booster Gold is from the 52 series, I liked him in that, but never got around to reading anything else with him in it.

Check out Booster Gold vol. 2, it takes place right after 52. I enjoyed this whole volume, even Jurgens' issues, though I disliked his writing before that.
