There was literally zero shipping drama in the movie at all. Star's feelings for Marco weren't even brought up, despite her confessing to him the last time they saw each other. Why? Because they both know that there was a lot more important shit going on and both of them value their friendship, just being able to be with each other, more than anything else.
Romance is just another part of the story. Anti-shipping fags who have an autistic fit every time two characters are just a little more than friendly with each other aren't any better than shipping fags who try to turn eye contact into true love.
