She is a real character who exists in Marvel canon. However outside her own title she has only appeared in Howard the Duck (her first appearance), Champions, Rocket & Groot and a two-page short in a Secret War tie-in.

Did you actually read the book? Because almost all her suffering comes from her own mistakes or callousness. A major point of her development was realizing how bad she was to others.

If you're talking about how she has natural fighting and strategic skills, it's no big deal. She's still pretty weak compared to other people, and can't stand up to most other heroes. And that might only change now because she's getting powers.

I'll say this much: I actually liked the way Ramos drew her. He's come a long way from 2007--he still draws the characters cartoony and exaggerated but it has more balance to it, the different profiles of his characters have more balance and personality.

He still draws his characters shouting when the script clearly doesn't call for it but eh.

Yeah, I know, but something in my gut tells me she's dead, some anons argued that she's getting teleported away like pic related, but it looks to me more like her symbiote started to melt and both of them are panicked by whatever it's is we don't see. But more than anything, she's an alternative universe version of a character, that means the Off-Panel-Death trope may not apply to her. I expect edge of Venom-Verse to do what edge of spider-verse did, one issue introduce us to a member of the team, next issue show us a victim.

X-23nom, Old Man Venom, and Venompool are confirmed to survive and play a role in the event. If they follow the same pattern then that'd mean Gwenompool and Host Rider are the two with the death flags.

A lot of people (including her heroes) dislike her, and she had to learn a lesson. She gets called out on her behavior. each, Cecil comes back. But he's not happy as a ghost, and she goes on to get another body for him.

The whole point is that she fucks up and learns from it. Like honesty, what are you expecting? That she gets her arm cut off? That all her friends agree to murder her in her sleep?
