I mean I guess, but the set up feels more like it would be "Thanos fucked up my life, but I've gotten over it. Now he is threatening the entire universe, and as someone who has taken up the cause of protecting it a time or two, I have the insight to help put him down like the no good bastard deserves." It is a nuanced difference, but still different IMO. I think Nebula was in 2 where Gamora was in 1. Daddy issues were absoluely the core of her and Nebula's conflict in 2, but Gamora was already over Thanos by the end of 1. What she was trying to do while fighting against Nebula to help give her an arm up to get over him as well. By the end of 2, they still can't stand him, but he isn't the force that divided him the way he used to be. They have chosen to stand beside one another because they choose to over fighting one another because Thanos commands them to.

It's the very same motivation she had in Guardians 1 though. But this time Thanos got the McGuffin already.
The whole "killing Thanos" is Nebula shtick anyways, so not only she'd be keeping her paper thin motivation, but also stealing from a more entertaining character, which sadly is the only thing they can do with the character. Though it's going to be cool seeing Nebula and Gamora jobbing to Thanos together.

Avengers 2 was cutting it close with being garbage. Avengers was okay, but in retrospect is simply fan wanking, which is what it was supposed to be.

Captain America has three solid performances in his "solo" films.

Spiderman HC was pretty fun.

Guardians is simply okay, and Gaurdians 2 was very fun until that last fifteen or so minutes.
