I just remembered something that has bugged me since I was a kid. I saw it happen on several cartoons but the only one I can remember at the moment is Jackie Chan Adventures. The opening song in that cartoon was all over the place, for some reason sometimes it would sound high-pitched as fuck and some other times it would be the opposite. I was wondering if there's a reason for it because while I don't have any other particular examples in mind, I absolutely remember this happening with other shows back in the day.
Might want to look into /x/ for this kind of stuff

Sometimes networks speed up a show or rerun to reduce length and increase commercial time. Maybe that?

sometimes people speed up intros and even have weird filters on them, it's when the channel is doing something usually
not unheard of

I just watched the opening themes on youtube and it seems like they do sound slightly different, might just be the audio quality though

I guess that would make sense but if they made the opening faster (which I don't think they did, it really just sounds like a difference in the pitch to me), it would add like a few seconds at most

I just picked two at random and they sound really different to me:

I can confirm it has nothing to do with the video quality too, that's literally how I remember hearing it on TV as a kid
