Not if you are durable enough. As we seen from Cyclops, his optic does nothing to beings of significant durability. Like when he optic blast, Hulk, Juggernaut, Thor, Gladiator and they just laugh it off like it was nothing at all. Hell, even Luke Cage of all people managed to withstand it.
