Zero. The creature's design is radically different from Abe Sapien's in from both comics and movies, so no way. Del Toro usually uses elements from his previous movis as references, and Dough Jones is the actor under the make up here and in Abe, so it's inevitable that similarities in movements and expression appear.

I'm sincerely hyped for this. It's the kind of thing in which Guillermo del Toro shines.
