If money is the thing that drives you toward art, you're not going to get anywhere.
You have to want to get good on your own or else your work will suffer. No one wants to give money for art with no personality. Unless you want to sell your soul and jump straight to shitty furry fetish commissions.
I don't know how well you can draw now, but getting "good" would take you 1-3 years of hard practice.
Trust me, you won't be making a decent paycheck off of it without a lot of hours of your own free time put behind it. especially if you're already working a job.
But if you really do want to pursue such a thing, the only real way you can go about it is setting up a tumblr, filling it up with whatever you're drawing, and wait. You may have to brownnose other more popular artists or draw fanart something that's currently relevant and popular, but all you can really do is work and then wait.
Try to set yourself apart, fill a niche, make it pop, and if you gain any traction, then maybe you can think about starting commissions.
