What was it that made Ed Edd n' Eddy last for so long?
Genuine good comedy and story telling.

This. David Antonucci is a brilliant man.

I loved the jokes and humor in the show and the animation, I thought at least, was really great. Its a pity when people shun away a terrific show just because they don't like the look of the animation.

He also made sure to make it more nebulous in time period so that it aged much more gracefully.

>Making a good cartoon, being a goal.
not trying to send a message down kids throats, and a fresh idea that isn't a remake. Be willing to try new voice actors not the same old fucking voices.

If you are curious about it, the name is snotrocket. The pacing is absolute bonkers (honestly in a pretty bad way) but the sound design very similar to ed, edd and eddy's.

I hate how overused the word is, but it was comfy. Also, it had great versimilitude. not "realism" but it felt real, like a bunch of kids playing, even the cartoony elements and exaggarations just served to tell a better story or set up better punchlines without ever getting too outrageous. The whole thing just beautifully clicked together. Antonucci having all the creative control helped a lot too, he could set up great joke timing, risque jokes etc. without any interference from mongoloid execs.

Good scheduling? I watched it and never particularly cared for it. I just watched it because it was on and there wasn't really that much else to watch.
